so, so atmospheric

i love it, it scratches an itch for me like VS couldn't. crazy ball combinations, feels like Balatro sometimes on how much damage you can do

a game this good on launch? no performance issues, no AI issues, no/ minor bugs? haven't seen that since 2009. good game. didn't impress me from watching other people play, but wanted to give it a shot myself. it just feels different when you play it. feels good, satisfying. also, only solo vs solo matches which I love, I thought it would be a problem playing alone, but the player count is high so always solo v solo matchups.

i do like it, yes. too grindy for me, but I'm having fun nonetheless

oh my, what a game

Good stuff. Not as good as 1, but good.

You can definitely have fun in it, but in no world this should've come out in this state. This is definitely Early Access and if it was marked at that, would've been understandable. Lots of unfinished, unreleased and not working basic but essential features.

Weird idea to have Battle pass fully functional before having a stable game, but let's ignore that for now - the rewards from the BP are so lazy and boring that I get absolutely no satisfaction from it, after paying the Nightfall edition. Either make it worth it/ interesting, or just leave it for later.

I remember struggling to play it on release, having around 15-20 fps. What a game.

Really solid and polished game.
There’s a great variety of guns and enemies, and the exploration is fun if you’re into that. The weapon mods and upgrades for your suit and the Doom Slayer are a nice touch and keep things interesting.

The music is good, but I wish it played more often and louder — even with the settings maxed, it feels like it fades too much into the background. It doesn’t always sync with the action either. During glory kills, it ramps up for a second, then just cuts off, which feels a bit awkward.

Also, there’s a bit too much downtime in between fights for my taste. Even on the highest difficulty, some combat sections felt a bit short or not as intense as I hoped.

All in all, it’s a great game — but I feel like it could’ve been even better.
