Brawlhalla is like a religion to me. I practice it everyday, I pray to Odin for reads, and overall enjoy spending time playing it. =P
For first timers, It's a fast-paced 2d fighting game. Similar to Smash Bros, as well as, not similar to Smash Bros. The learning curve is quite difficult to grasp, personally it took me a month to figure out what I was doing. However, Brawlhalla isn't a limited "free-to-play" game (Even though it says free-to-play, it's not your standard wizard101 or WoW definition). You have access to everything everybody else does with the exception of cosmetic items, meaning P2W isn't a Brawlhala feature. The only way to "win" at the game is to play and develop your skills.
Possibly my favorite thing about the "Brawlhalla experience" is that BMG listens to their players. Responsive developers are what shape a great community together.
I highly recommend this game to anyone who firstly like fast-paced fighting games, but also someone whos looking to have a fun time with a couple of friends. (It's best played with a couple or a lot of friends in a skype call, screaming at the top of your lungs.) =P
