The grind is real. But the grind is fun. Warframe is able to balance meaningful progression with the grind and also tells a compellingly interesting story. This is a game that I come back to every once in a while to see how it's changed, and it never fails to surprise me with the new innovations they come up with. I have been following this game since it's launch back in 2012 and it makes me happy to see how far it has come. Warframe is definitely not for everyone, but being a free game, I would recommend everyone at least give it a shot. You'll be able to tell pretty quickly if it's a game you want to stick with or leave it. 8/10

I don't usually like roguelike/roguelite games. I like this one. Doesn't feel like you're starting over when you die. Good game.

If you like Dungeons and Dragons, you will like this game.
If you like XCOM, you will like this game.
If you like crude humor and a story that makes fun of itself, you will like this game.

The Dungeon of Naheulbeuk is a fun, interesting, and engaging came that has a mix of many popular genres out there. The story has an interesting take on tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons, and it interacts with the player in a way that keeps you engaged and wanting to pursue the next step in the quest. It's very meta, in that it references itself as a tabletop game as if it were real life.

The characters all enter the dungeon in pursuit of a relic known as the Chalice of Barglefargle. But that isn't even the most interesting part. The multi-layered dungeon has a wide variety of themes, ranging from steampunk mechanical contraptions to magically enchanted caves to a literal dungeon.

The characters you play all have a wide variety of abilities. You have to think about the group you are putting together, and the roles that each character plays. Early in the game, you get to make a choice to expand the party, which I really enjoyed. I went with the paladin because she felt the best to use in the beginning quests, and I wanted a more tanky front-line. The characters also have distinct personalities, which keeps the dialogue between them interesting and fresh. I personally liked the interactions between the Elf and the Dwarf, but I see why there is the option to mute them lol. The npcs you engage with are all unique, and all voiced by actors/actresses (which is a huge plus in my book, one of the reasons Divinity is in my top tier of games). Many of them offer side quests, which gave the game a good amount of length while also returning to old places and expanding on them, which I enjoyed a lot.

The enemies you fight are fun, and even though I played it on the normal difficulty, some of the encounters felt very challenging. If you do something incorrectly, there is no taking it back (aside from reloading a save, which resets the entire turn of combat). Speaking of reloading saves, I found that in one combat where I had to do a reload, the roll on my ranger continued critically failing after each save, which made me wonder if the rolls are truly random or seeded. Either way, the game keeps itself fresh with bountiful drops of loot which let you optimize your party to its fullest potential.

I am still not finished with the story; at the time of writing this I have just gotten to Chapter 6. All in all, I highly recommend the game if you are a fan of DnD and/or XCOM and/or Divinity. 9/10
