Pretty good, the characters play really different from one another, and it feels great when you level up enough and start to tear stuff up like it's nothing, though you always need to be careful doesn't matter how strong you get, feels nicely balanced that way

The procedural generation is also very good, maps feel different each time

It has Vampire Survivors vibes but it's completely different in how it plays

Anyway, solid game, cheap too.

This thing is fantastic!

Yes they still need to do some tweaking, but there's nothing like it, not even close, best medieval combat game ever.

Controls take a lot of getting used to, but once it clicks you're hooked, and the gore is freaking hilarious.

I've put almost 60 hours in a demo... what more do I need to say?

One of those games that makes the case for having a "Neutral" rating available.

I'm going with recommended mainly because:

A) I mildly enjoyed the writing and characters
B) I got it for free (steamgifts)

But If I had paid for it I'd probably get a refund in all honesty, although not necessarily leaving a bad review, because there's nothing necessarily wrong with it

The graphics are simple yet charming, will run on any potato, music is decent, but not much variety, sound design barely present though.

There's not much to the gameplay, game is played through a first person view, you click to interact with things, and right click for your useless magnifying glass (there's literally not a single use for it).

Character A needs a rock and has a key, character B needs a key and has a chain, character C needs a chain and has a spoon, so on and so forth, pretty much 0 challenge, nothing to figure out, it's a very short interactive story basically, and not much of a story at that.

But it's still funny and quirky, I guess it would be good for children specially.

Finished the whole thing with all achievements in 45 minutes.

It's a good action game, a little rough in spots, like areas where the BGM doesn't loop cleanly, but it's all minor nuisances really.

It consists of a simple gameplay-loop, you go into a location, which will consist of some 5 to 10 screens, you fight your way through some 4 or 5 different enemies (unique to said area), you unlock all the items available in that area, there's a boss fight, the story progresses, and then you go into a new location.

Combat is very fast and responsive, not so intricate, you have a few different moves, but you couple regular melee attacks with powerful magical attacks/buffs (that are activated by entering directional commands, kinda like a fighting game but not quite)

Progression is multi-faceted:
- you have your regular leveling system, just gaining exp from defeating enemies, then distributing your points in different stats

- there's what the game calls the "grow system" which is this huge tree of, mostly, minor stat bonuses, that you get by spending a type of energy you get from defeating enemies, there are 6 different types of said energy, and you'll need a balance of them all (different enemies give off different types) to complete the whole tree, you can also get new magic skills and improve said skills in this same tree

- The game has MANY pieces of equipment, and each has it's own progression of sorts, in which, while wearing/wielding an item, all experience you gain by killing enemies goes towards said item "mastery", when mastering an item you gain a new ability OR a crystal used to activate said abilities (it's a basic balancing system, for example, you have 8 crystals, and 10 abilities to chose from, some abilities need 3 crystals, some 4, some 1, and you have to decide which ones to enable)

And it's all very satisfying

I also like how the game respects the player's time, for instance you can respec every time you level up, or at any time in specific locations, plus you don't have to worry about missing any content since, after a certain point in the story progression, you can revisit any previous area to get anything you might have missed.

The story is your usual anime-grade nonsensical stuff, but it's alright

Great game, lots of freedom to build whatever kind of vehicle you can think of.

The campaign is fun, progression is basically getting more money so you can buy bigger bases to build bigger stuff, plus using the fancier stuff in the stuff you build.

You earn cash by completing the search and rescue missions, buying and selling fuel, even mining, and you'll need to design the vehicles to do all of these things from scratch, unless you just go and grab something out of the workshop of course, but to me the fun is figuring it out yourself.

The complexity you can take your vehicles to is really something, you can even have screens controlled by microcontrolers you design yourself, then you draw stuff using lua scripting (you can use the scripting for a lot of things other than just drawing to screens).

Also the ocean simulation is one of the best I've ever seen, even with the low poly graphics (which look great to me).

But yeah, it's good.

It's simple and fun, kinda of GoW type combat, great "podcast game" for me, nothing too fancy

You don't have to spend a single cent, the rate in which you gain souls (the currency to buy anything) is pretty decent.

Also it'll run on any potato PC

Very repetitive though, and obviously comes with the usual freemium trappings, like you can find loot, but it'll never be even remotely as good as the stuff you can buy with souls, or at least it's extremely rare to find good stuff.

But it's free so 🤷‍♂️

One of those things that you either love or hate it.

Movement/Combat is pretty janky, but extremely satisfying once you get the hang of it, nothing like a perfectly timed downward chop with a battle axe to the head

The arena mode by itself is already good reason enough to buy it, but the main game is good as well.

It's also very performant, and looks pretty good imo, the lighting is fantastic, I'm running it very well on a integrated intel UHD 630 graphics.

Runs great on Linux via proton.

Pretty good

"Newtonian" movement, where you need to properly apply thrust, not arcadey at all, though the auto-pilot makes that very easy to handle, you can go 100% manual if you want though.

You can just mine, which is pretty chill, you can bounty hunt, and actually carry your conquered ships back to use as your own or to sell (if you have the appropriate equipment), you can pirate

The mining mechanic is nice and quite involved, it involves breaking up asteroids to get to the ore, there are a few different ways to accomplish this, and they all, to a greater or lesser degree, will send this ore flying in a random direction, which is the sole challenge of mining, since you have to actually catch up to them and scoop them up to your hold, you can upgrade to equipment that help up with this immensely.

You can hire a crew, which will give you a bunch of buffs, open up new abilities, and also at times give you cool little "side quests"

Also the dev is VERY active, lots of updates

some cons:

- the way the ore goes flying in a random direction is a bit silly, specially considering it looks like the most valuable the resource, the faster it will shoot out, I understand that this is for the challenge, but still, like I said, it's a bit silly.

- combat is a bit finicky, it can be fun, but if it's 1 v 1 it will basically involve you and the AI pointing straight at each other and exchanging hits, there's not much maneuvering to get them in a better spot or to evade fire, they will always follow you perfectly.

It's good, very different take on a "shoot e'm up", I like the ship switching and how some types are better for some things, you gotta strategize
