Out of all 10 Backrooms games I've played, including POOLS, Escape the Backrooms, Inside the Backrooms, The Backrooms 1998, Dream Logic, Lost Tape, Unbounded, Invasion and Liminality, this one remains my absolute number one. It feels very close to what original Backrooms concept has to offer.

This is hyper realistic walking simulator and it gives you the best Backrooms experience possible. There are no monsters or screamers but the sense of melancholic dread is on the next level. Very hypnotic and meditative psychological horror. Level design is gorgeous and it’s tremendous. I had to play through the game 3 times in order explore every corner as there are multiple exits with various pathways.

Great sound design and camera movements is what makes it totally immersive, like you are actually there. Absolutely crazy how you get all this beauty for free.

“The Complex: Expedition” is the next installment in the series which isn’t free but it adds more levels to explore and has some sort of storyline.
