PoE2 is everything I've been looking for in an ARPG since Diablo 2. Diablo 3 or 4 never lived up to their predecessor - this game does. My 3 friends (who have never touched an ARPG) started this game with me with low expectations, especially seeing the mixed reviews - 1 hour in and we were hooked. Myself knowing nothing about this game or PoE1, and sourcing most my knowledge from D2, I was surprisingly able to guide my friends through a lot of content and offer advice on gameplay mechanics in this game. This games IS a worthy successor to D2, and is definitely the game you should be playing with your friends, especially if they don't feel like jumping into a 25 year old game.

The thrill of seeing a rare drop, the eye-candy upon seeing your spells rip through enemies, the bass you hear as the warrior in your party destroys a wave of minions with the slam of his sledgehammer, the chaos and adrenaline rush as everyone in your party is dancing around the boss trying to dodge its lethal attacks, gambling all your money away on random rings at the merchant, the atmosphere. This game does it all right.

Also, to the people complaining in the reviews about micro-transactions in an early access game, by your negative reviews you're hurting the development of what could evolve into the best ARPG of all time, just because cosmetics in a instance-based game annoy you...

Really really good. Co-op is very fun, and I highly recommend playing with friends.

It gladdens me to know that Odin prepares for a feast. Soon I shall be drinking ale from curved horns. This hero that comes into Valhalla does not lament his death! I shall not enter Odin's hall with fear. There I shall wait for my sons to join me. And when they do, I will bask in their tales of triumph. The Aesir will welcome me! My death comes without apology! And I welcome the valkyries to summon me home!

If you've never played this game then re-evaluate your childhood.

Some bugs here and there but it had me hooked for over 20 hours in my first play-through. Great successor to Warband.

Knocked on over 10 hours on my first day of playing with a friend. Very captivating game with unique mechanics. It is absurdly underrated.

I do not agree with the reviews slating this game for being too 'harsh' in terms of losing progression or giving the impression that big clans lurk around every corner. I have not seen more than a 2 person team in a single area, sure I do not doubt their existence, but I personally would not worry about such an occurrence. Also, playing other survival pvp games such as rust has accustomed me to being raided or killed multiple times over for my hard earned loot, therefore if I'm honest, losing my character's loot and walker would not bother me as I could farm this back in a short time. This game is even more lenient than Rust as it rewards you for the hard work and time you put in through allowing you to level up your character and letting you unlock plenty of crafting recipes in the skill tree so that when you do die, you will not lose it all.

Many of you need to lay off the thumbs down button and understand that a game like this is supposed to be challenging.
