I had the opportunity to alpha test this game for the past year prior to the migration to steam. I'm so excited to be able to talk about and play this game with the world. The dev team is focused on providing a good experience and support for this game long term. With that said, I do understand the outrage as there have been some server issues that have cropped up and interrupted play due to the sheer amount of players.
The game is Free.
The game is FUN.
Long-term Developer support.
Give it a try and see if it's for you. At most you're out a couple of hours of your time in the middle of a pandemic where we all have tons of time to spare.

Pretty fun thus far. A bit arcady but overall worth the price I got it on sale.
