I thought this would be in a much better state from the demo I played a couple of years ago but it isn't. Even small things like you cannot rotate the camera by holding down the mouse wheel etc, only with q and e which are very slow, and you can't pivot the camera angle up and down either.

Small issues but they show a lack of attention to detail IMO.

Combat feels dull and weightless too, with zombies just running at one of your squads while ignoring other squads who are even closer to them.

It would be nice to also have a map filter to see which buildings have already been searched to save having to click each one over and over.

Look, I know these kind of games are not all about the “fun” parts, I’ve played enough of them to know, but I’m almost 3 hours into this and I’ve yet to see so much as a nipple.

This would be fine if the story was good, but tbh it’s just fine at best, and I wish I could customise my own character even just a bit, maybe with hairstyle or something.

Idk, I’m torn between all of these good reviews, and feeling like the game is going nowhere fast.

Update: Now we know the voice lines were removed just so they could sell NFTs, I wish I could get a refund.

Pinhead is obviously one of the coolest and most iconic characters to be added into the game, and visually/cosmetically he’s almost perfect.

Unfortunately his chain power is too weak, it’s almost not worth the effort to use cause the survivor can just run around a corner and break them before you get closer to hit them.

The world of pain is also too slow, and it seems like the survivors can just find and use the lament configuration way too often to offset this.

Plus of course he had really cool voice lines in the beta but they haven’t been in the live game yet, which is pretty bad.

I loved Rome 2 and honestly wasn't sure if I'd like the setting of Three Kingdoms, knowing nothing about the time-period myself. Thankfully the game is so good that I've begun to watch the Three Kingdoms show and read the book.

At its core it's a Total War game, so if you've played any of the recent titles you'll know what to expect. The biggest addition is the Romance mode, which turns it into a dramatic show/movie, with generals duelling in the middle of huge battles. This also means you get attached to generals and get genuinely annoyed and sad when they die, like XCOM.

I'm absolutely hooked on this game and can't praise it enough.

Genuinely one of the best games I've ever played.
Played it to death on the Xbox 360 and bought it again for PC to play it to death again. Even today, with so many modern AAA titles and shooters, L4D2 is stiil a must play, it's spectacular.

I seriously cannot get enough of CK2. Murder, deciet, backstabbing, wars, affairs, it really has everything. The Game of Thrones mod is essential and is without a doubt the best GoT game around and the closest you'll come to ruling the Seven Kingdoms yourself.
