"As you move through this life and this world, you change things slightly; you leave marks behind, however small. And in return, life--and travel--leaves marks on you. Most of the time, those marks--on your body or on your heart--are beautiful. Often, though, they hurt."

"You learn a lot about someone when you share a meal together."

"I'm a big believer in winging it. I'm a big believer that you're never going to find a perfect city travel experience or the perfect meal without a constant willingness to experience a bad one. Letting the happy accident happen is what a lot of vacation itineraries miss, I think, and I'm always trying to push people to allow those things to happen rather than stick to some rigid itinerary."

Been a MH fan for the last 20 years. Been on that grind since MH launched on the PSP. I try not to be a gate keeper or too much of an old head but I can't help it sometimes. This game needs to be challenging! Players used to quit before they even had their first major weapon upgrade due to how challenging it is. I enjoy this game but it's just too "friendly". Too many "quality of life" improvements make a lot of the hunting experience too easy or not even a hunting experience. Who even knows why they give you a paintball by default when the monsters are on the map 24/7.

Don't get me wrong. I enjoy Wilds. But it just doesn't feel like a hunt anymore. You auto chase down a monster that's on your map no matter what and then massacre it. Kite around on a bird lizard to stay out of harms way to heal and sharpen. Might as well have just made the player invincible as part of the animation for those things. Save us some time.

Also we already use the acronym MHW for Worlds, why Wilds?! C'mon now.

My main issue though... I was able to get through the story, as much of a slog that was. It's hard to keep interested due it's absolute lack of challenge. Had a random stutter once in awhile, which was a little annoying and actually made me not want to get on the game as much. Game only ever crashed maybe once from it and lobby drop maybe once, so not terrible. Beat main story, finally make it to high rank so I can start having fun and playing with other HR friends. Now my game stutters so often it's unplayable. Last 2 boots I can barely interact with 2 NPCs and my game freezes. haven't gone on a single mission for HR yet either. Currently writing this review from my secondary monitor while my main has a frozen Monster Hunter Wilds on it. GG.
