I am leaving this review before the game opens to everybody that purchases the standard edition. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Spent $20 extra to get 'early unlock' access which just says you unlock the game 2 days early, did not say anything similar to your typical 'early access' where you are warned of bugs due to the game not being fully finished and all that jazz - you're all gamers, you understand.

The first 24 hours of this access period I have been able to complete the tutorial to the singleplayer, and even that was a nightmare. Friends list does not work which prevents you from playing with friends whatsoever because you can't invite anyone without using the in-game friends list. In the official discord, I addressed this with the dev team who told everyone they are aware but did not have plans to work on this in the immediate patching they would be doing to try and get the game playable. Through the whole process the one dev that was monitoring the discord continually told people with legitimate questions (at least in the sense that yes-they were actual questions pertaining to what the game would include such as a game mode many people thought would be included) just told people it wont be in the game, no plans to ever add it, and if you don't like it "refund and move on" - not a very good look when the game had only been open for 3 hours.

The players purchasing your early unlock are your die hard fans and to spend the first day of this period being told no this isn't in the game, no we're not doing that, no we have no ETA on when you will even be able to utilize the early access period, etc. is complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I am extremely disappointed with this. Took an AMAZING game and made it absolutely HORRIBLE
As of 2/23/23, the day of release, I am adding to this as the game releases in ten minutes as its Official release, and virtually nothing has been fixed since the start of the 2 day early unlock. They released a patch on the 22nd that ‘fixed’ server stability, but this doesn’t matter because the menus are all not cached, and therefore still don’t load properly after moving between sections of the menu (ie, settings to My Team, will meet an infinite loading screen. Play screen to Campaign, infinite loading)
They addressed that yes, they are aware no one can play with friends due to the friends list not working, but had no ETA on a patch. So AS OF TODAY AT LAUNCH, YOU STILL CANNOT PLAY WITH YOUR FRIENDS. Some people schilling for this game for no reason will argue and say ‘well actually you can, you just have to create a league, then manually find that league and have your friends join it.’ This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because it rarely works due to the menus not loading, and on top of it matches crash so frequently you virtually cannot finish matches. No pause menu either, no reconnection system – oh yeah, you want server reconnection?
Ok no problem – check the roadmap – AUGUST 2023!!!!! How grossly incompetent can a team be? This game is disgusting and do not even get me started on the microtransactions. There is so many issues that literally make this a non-usable product that its not even worth starting that fight yet. I’ve seen some bad, unpolished, unfinished games in my time, who hasn’t. This game takes it to another level. I can’t even stay on task in writing this there is so much egregious ♥♥♥♥ going on with it. Wait for some videos to come out once this gets more public view. Angry Joe will have an absolute field day with this.
If all this ever becomes fixed, I will change this review but I do not foresee it thanks to their roadmap putting basic features and fixes out 6 months from now like they are doing us a favor completing their game a year after its release. Disgusting.
