games that truly give me a sense of wonder and discovery are some of my favorites, void stranger is one of the best in that regard.

this is the bad one?

rain world downpour adds a large degree of replayability to this already very deep and content rich game.
youll notice many quirks and changes providing even more depth and new things to find around each corner in even the base game, not just the extra modes.

the "more slugcats" expansion (previously having been worked on as a fanmade mod) adds 5(!) new characters which all demand you interact with the game in different ways you previously never would have even thought of. in these new storylines you will watch the game world gradually change as you take them on in chronological order, going from character to character, each providing a drastically different experience from the last with new abilities, routes, and regions.

expedition mode expands on this idea of enabling the player to interact with the world in brand new ways. essentially acting as a randomizer, you are dropped in a random region with random tasks to complete.

rain world remix, which is not even part of this dlc, but a free update, adds tons of optional quality of life features such as the long requested ability to take spears out of walls, among many other things. official modding support has also been added, allowing you to install mods through the workshop with the click of a button instead of having to install and use a clunky launcher.

I would almost equate this massive dlc and quality of life patch to a rain world 2 in terms of providing new content and responding to player wishes.

if you liked the base game even a little bit, please buy this DLC, it's well worth the 15 dollars.

it's not the best port, i experienced a couple softlocks making my way through this game. but it should be played one way or another, this game deserves to not be forgotten. without spoiling anything, you'll probably never find another game as stylish or intriguing
