"Sex with Stalin" is a lesson in poor game design, and it receives a 0/10 hands down. This abysmal visual novel contains graphic, animated adult content based on caricatured historical characters and relies on all shock value, doing nothing at all at every basic level of game design.

The game is marred by abysmal graphics and animation. Characters move stiffly like malfunctioning mannequins, with stuttering, stiff faces; they are jagged and glitch out in the middle of a scene. The artwork is a nauseating combination of low-budget Flash-voiced assets, with skewed anatomy and tragicomic "cutscenes" to sit through.

Also, there's absolutely no gameplay or content. It has no gameplay or puzzles reliant on skill, leaving the process to simply clicking through static screens and broken cutscenes. The writing is also terrible, with a mix of teen-level innuendo and rambling incoherence. It also includes cartoonishly villainous characterizations of characters like Stalin, with glacial attempts at humor (Stalin railing against "capitalist saboteurs" in sex scenes). There is no narrative coherence, only a disjointed collection of insulting stereotypes.

Above all, the game is without any redeeming features. It is not "so bad it's good" – it is simply boring, ugly, and profoundly dull. Whatever shock value there initially is worn off within minutes, leaving just regret.

Ultimately, "Sex with Stalin" fails on all fronts. It is not viewable animation, it is not engaging dialogue, and the complete lack of gameplay means that it amounts to little more than a slideshow of badly pixellated pornography. It even can't be used as a curiosity. Do not play this trash fire. The 0/10 is awarded for the design faults of the game as a product based solely on the things that it does wrong.
