Really fun - great replayability, and the roguelike elements mesh well with the total war style battles.

It's a game with a lot of heart put in to it and it shows. Thrilled to see that more updates are planned.

Absolutely not playable right now (5/23/2021). Multiple game breaking and save ruining bugs, more bugs that make it impossible to play with your friends, even more bugs that cause the game to run poorly on high-end systems. I am not exaggerating when I say this game was released in a worse state than Cyberpunk 2077.

Amazing!

This only gets a positive review because it's free. Compared to any of the paid Magic 20XX games, Magic Duels is a huge step backwards. Bland backgrounds, missing and removed features, and other problems plauge Duels. Considering that this is what appears to be an updateable replacement for the Magic 20XX series of games, the Magic team needs to do better if they ever want it to suceed.

If you ever wanted to play X-COM as a third person shooter, this is it. A blend of shooter and strategy that is acceptable on both counts but excells at neither. If you wanted another Enemy Unknown, this isn't it. If you can pick this up for 10$ or less I would say that it's worth it. The story and setting are decent, but the dialogue sucks (like, really bad. The worst I've seen in a long time). Also, the character you play as is a bit of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Overall score 6/10.

The developers use the term "Gamma" as a buzzword in order to cover up the fact that this game is essentially pre-alpha. It is clear the decision was made to focus on content over optimization, which has resulted in a game that looks great but is essentially unplayable. Would not reccomend.
