I've been thrilled to play this game.

Honestly, I'm not a serious gamer, but playing this game gave me chills sometimes. I was trying to not fall off my chair and in some moments I was enjoying the vibe the game gave me. The neon purple cyber aesthetics give you that bright environment with splashes over the walls with blood from your enemies. I can't get enough of it.

Since my first encounter, I've felt like I didn't know what I was doing, but getting closer and closer to the end taught me, that the game is linearly teaching you how to handle loads and loads of enemies (since I was replaying some early levels to get some collectibles, I've found out that after completing the story, I was unstoppable in the early levels). It was a joyful ride.

Storywriting is amazing. Despite that the ending is quite unsatisfying (not talking about post-credits, but the story felt like it's missing something) I enjoyed the plot twists and slow unrewealing, of what's going on in the world of Katana ZERO.

I highly recommend it to everyone who likes pink-ish neon style, with gameplay sort of reminding of Hotline Miami. I enjoyed it.

Imagine this.

You wake up in the dark. Surrounded by darkness and the only think you can hear is chainsaws from your enemies stepping forward you to kill you. Your only options are to kill or be killed.

To describe what I played. I couldn't even imagine the throttle, the pase, the hunt for blood that the game put me in. DUSK is as fast as you want. You want to go crazy? Go crazy with the semi-auto bhop shooting rampage of fast or die situations. You want to go bit slower? Calm down and shoot like thief in shadows... the game got what you want. So take it! Show it your real talent... THE REAL POWER THAT IS IN YOU!

Just to be clear. I've got this game in the BOOMER SHOOTER Humble Bundle bundle and was really happy with the experience that DUSK gave me. I cannot do anything else, than just recomend. Buy it! Because its worth it!

Is it worth it?
It depends...

Just take the base game; If you liked Flatout style arcade racer, that sure you will like this game too. But this game sort of lacks of the arcade and it's more like sim racer. Don't take me wrong, you can still feel arcade-ness in this game but Bugbear takes sort of a different this time.

Either way, you will have a great time. The game feels responsive and also addictive. Races are sometimes unfair; If you crash at the start than you will have a hard time getting your possition back (depends on the difficulty). It will might feel frustrating, but for a good reason there is a difficulty changer for your needs. Every hardcore or easy gamer will apriciate this.

I wouldn't call this a Flatout clon but its successor.

Before I'll start, I want you say, this can include some spoilers and ruin your experience or even break that little surprise ;)
So, let's get started.

I highly recommend this game. When it starts, you are going to read all cut scenes yourself. It's little bit issue for me, but you will learn. There is something 22 playeble levels (17 main + 4 secondary + 1 bonus) and all of them are very well designed. But once or twice I couldn't knew what to do, but game were still playeble. Those issues weren't here often so you can ignore it ;), but still.

There is one thing what I don't expect, I thought there is only Main Story, but you can play with one other character (his name I don't remember). It was like "BOOM" in my head. Game gave me other story. This feature were really cool, when you expect only main story but there is some secret :D

Game itself looks amazing... Graphics design style of 90s pixel arts is so fantastic (I have to say). To this game came a sequel.
"Hotline Miami 2" with bigger story and featured Level Editor.

Now for Review:
Game is amazing with original mechanics, but sometimes you don't know what to do, even the game told you.
For me it's 90% and Feature.
