V Rising is an amazing open world survival game. You gather resources, kill enemies and build an elaborate castle, which you can also decorate. The map is large with several different areas you'll be going to throughout the game. There is a large array of weapons/spells and skills to let you have some variety if how you play. The game has a lot of bosses, each with their own mechanics. Playing on Brutal difficulty gives them even more mechanics. These bosses are fun to fight and some can be pretty challenging and feel very satisfying to beat. They don't feel impossible to beat and it's more about learning the mechanics and adjusting your strategies to beat them.

You need to drink blood and there is an in-depth blood mechanic with different blood types and percentages that give you bonuses depending on the type and percentage. Later in the game you are able to combine blood types. You are also able to capture enemies to collect their blood or make them your servants and send them out on missions to farm resources and components for you to build/craft which will make farming resources a lot easier.

You can play online on PvE or PVP servers or you can play solo or co-op on your own server. You can adjust a whole range of settings to customize the game how you want. If you don't enjoy grinding you can set resource gathering to 3x for example.

The gameplay loop is enjoyable. You kill bosses to unlock new armor/crafting stations/spells etc which then make you stronger and ready to take on the next boss.

There is a lot to V Rising and it is a fantastic game. I highly recommend checking it out.
