The idea of the game is fun, relaxing and educational (I finally get to see how ideal electric installations should be), however, the game has game-breaking bugs.

I tried doing the 2nd certificate VR Mission (fixing a couple of sockets) and ran into lots of bugs. First was that the socket plate was removed, but the in-wall model was still there. like, you have one plate removed and one still in the wall and you can continue to disassemble the socket and interact with the rest of the components, but that glitch hampers the experience. THEN I went onto the double socket to stumble into the same issue, but then I got electrocuted. If there's a visual cue about that its going to happen, then I won't be able to see it because of the visual glitch blocking my way. Then after connecting the 3 wires in place, the game didn't recognize the solution, I exited the inspection mode and when trying to check it, then THE TUTORIAL came in (as if I had never opened the double socket) and whatever I did was undone. For this time, I had turned off the main breaker, but guess what? ELECTROCUTED! I tried wiring everything again but since I didn't get the finished confirmation, I just closed the game.

AFAIK "the solution" found in google is to return to the office or do these type of missions as you log into the game. Which is hilariously dumb. What is this, Bethesda?

Anyway, there are references to Phasmophobia too and fixing devices in the workbench so far has no issues.

Why not recommended: (Updated to June 7th) There was a date thrown around about May 30 for a possible reversal of the Region lock but so far no changes have been made. I'm uninstalling this game until that changes. Write a comment to remind me when that happens pls.

Old reason to not recommend: if you don't have a PSN account already or already linked to Steam, DON'T purchase it. ||Update jun 07: They changed the requirement at launch, then reverted it afterwards. My point is, if they did this they could do something else in the future. Be warned.

Apparently I did have one and I linked it a week after purchasing thinking that it would bring back the Steam friend list in-game (because early April when I bought it, you could see your friends playing and you could join them. Afterwards, the list dissappeared and you were forced to only add by code or by recent play). I know, silly me.

So, The game is fantastic. The best experience I've had in years. The lore, the propaganda, the world building (even if little, the way the devs did it, it made me feel immersed). THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ MUSIC. The graphics, the epic movie-like moments, the gameplay, the strategy and cooperation.

This game has been a blast.

Until Sony came back. ♥♥♥♥ Sony.

This game is a perfect balance between battlefield and Arma games, offering a military type of experience without being way too serious about it.

As I love this game, it has huge caveats tho, so I'll lay it down in a understandable format:

Pros:
- A more adult/professional/milsim-esque/realistic experience than you find in battlefield, without using a lot of keybinds like in Arma.
- the game plays like chess, a good strategy will yield amazing results (like in war, who would have thought?).
- Training mission included, because it isn't that user-friendly for the newcomer, but it's what makes it great, the perfect grade of complexity.
- Team based gameplay, with strong emphasis in coordination specially through integrated VoiP.
- 50v50 games.
- Ability to create bases while on mission.
- vehicles, roles, etc.
- best matches are not those won by a mile, but those in which you win by 10>tickets. And ironically, a bad match is one you do win by over a mile.

Cons:
- A lot of new people play like it was BF and you don't have the sandbox ability Arma has, nor you can fly in Helis or planes unless you're running a mod in a modded server.
- which reminds me that it has very basic joystick support, you have to basically force the joystick into Squad.
- Speaking of servers, it's easy to fill a server and have a long queue line (I've seen queues of 18 people), which means that if conditions are met, you won't be able to run the game and join a match immediately.
- Team based gameplay that requires coordination. If you have a member in your squad or a Squad leader that can't coordinate, your round will be awful, which is what usually happens. And is what keeps me quitting the game for 2 months then coming back again to the disappointment cycle.
- The game plays like chess, which means that a poor strategy will yield poor results. Which by itself isn't bad, what IS bad is that people DON'T LEARN from previous mistakes (I'm looking at all of those who place HABs in the cap zone).
- These two issues are related to the fact that there's no incentive on certain critical activities: you don't get a reward for being a good SL, nor a punishment if the contrary. Logi/Heli drivers don't get rewards either. Their only incentive is doing what's best for the team. Or like those who play armor, ♥♥♥♥ up in the first 5 minutes and leave the server.
- no auto scrambling teams. I think this function alone would make my experience way better and eliminate the disappointment cycle, by scrambling the teams you would randomize the results, instead of losing 5 games in a row 328-0.
- people who play like it was BF or come from CoD always choose marksman. Being very useless to the squad (a rifleman or MG is way better).
- VRAM intensive, get a GPU with more than 4GB.
- Very infrequent content/improvement updates.

In summary:
I love this game, but if there was a way to stop getting steam rolled 5 games in a row, it would be way better. I can stand people not being strategists, but I draw the line at stacking teams.

This is the game that could have been and it'll always remain like that until R* and/or Taken decide to open up custom servers. Until then, the game will be limited by the poor choices the dev and publisher made.

What I liked:
- Optimized game. ♥♥♥♥, this game runs smoothly on a 4y/o PC (Phenom 2 x6, 8GB RAM, R9 270X) when this game released for PC and it ran above 40FPS.
- Lots of things to do with friends. Just whatch N& B's videos in YouTube to get a glimpse of that.
- The editor. You can now make your own machinima!
- The story. It's amazing, it's deep and gets to you in a deep level and takes you on a long trip.
- The added features. The weapon roundel/selector tool, the first person view, these really change how the gameplay flows.

What I didn't like:
- GTA ONLINE: The grindfest. The online mode is fun the first few times you try the same missions, but when you really want to get something new (like a car, a condo, etc) the missions become repetitive because they deliver so little money each time, you'll have to repeat them 8+ times to get something good.
-GTA ONLINE: you stole it... But not quite. Luxury cars you stole you don't get to keep them, their excuse (a fair one) is that they have a tracking device and that's why you can't own it unless you purchase it. Which brings you back to previous point.
-SHARKCARDS: the greed. So if you don't want to spend days or weeks grinding for that awesome sports car or condo, you have the choice to spend real money to get it faster. It's not my thing, but be my guest.
-Aggresive citizens. Remember how in GTA IV the citizens didn't start a gift just for looking at them? How cars stopped when you were in the middle of the road? This is LS baby, Lossantonios have no time for your bullpoop. Also, cops shoot you if you stay near them long enough.
-Non enterable buildings. It's 2017 (I know it was released earlier) and seriously... We can't have enterable buildings on free roam mode?! GTA IV HAD THEM!!! C'mon R*!
-GTA ONLINE: THE PARTY POOPERS. You want to rule your own server? For some reason you want to challenge your friends in a chicken race? You want to shoot cars out of your gun? Too bad, R* doesn't like any of that. No private/rental servers, No mods, no workshop, only the poop they want you to have.

So yeah, for those and many more reasons, GTA V will remain as the game that it could be. Think of the GTA version of PokemonGO. My tip: buy it on sale and play the story, it's still worth it.

So, I've played this during Feruary 17 free wekend, and I'll have to say that while I don't like it, I do recommend this game, it's a very solid game.

I didn't like it because it's not my type of game, but friends insisted on trying it out. I'm more of a Battlefield, ArmA type of games, Couter-strike style fo games are not fun for me.

This game excels in being light with your computer, my Phenom 2 x6 1050T/8GB RAM/R9 270X 2GB handles it at medium, in a resolution lower than 1080p and it runs at 60+ FPS all the time.

I compare this with CS because it's a 5vs5 do-the-objective-or-wipe-your-enemy-team type of game. So, this is basically counterstrike with gadgets and perks. It DOES, however, give a different flavour every time you play since there are n amount of variations both for attackers and defenders, each one giving the game a unique variation on every match, so you should not see the same combination often. In theory.

And when you're in CQC, it all comes down to strategy and skills.

Don't buy it, even if you're a fan I wouldn't recommend you to buy it. Only if it's for less than 3USD or your local currency's equivalent.

Why? because of this[www.gamespot.com].

On my own words, this game went in the wrong direction. It tried to be something it isn't.

The game features several mechanisms (minigames) to make it easier or to try to change the formula. The dogfights are part of said minigames (if you don't use the dogfight mode, you're at a very HUGE disavantage), If you don't enter "ground attack mode"you can't use your A2G missiles. Horse crap.

And the stupidity found in certain missions, but that contains spoilers:

There's a mission in whichyou have to defend an airfield of being overrrun by tanks and protect the incoming cargo planes of enemy aircraft. The most infuriating part is when you absolutely have to destroy the planes in dogfight-mode before engaging the tanks, or these won't let you do anything. Remember: you have to engage A2G mode to attack the tanks, there'sno way to defend against A2A while in that mode.

And, on the final mission, you are supposed to have a 1vs1 fight with your ultra nemesis, however, that nemesis is so OP, he can travel from the "battlepoint" where you're supposed to fight him, to where the bombers are located waaaay back in less than a second, you can test that and see that in your minimap. I LOL'd hard when I saw that happening. And of course, you're supposed to take him down in dogfight mode before engaging the bomber that you also have to destroy in dogfight mode.

This is the first game that made me RAGEQUIT in single player mode.

TL;DR: if you're looking for the classic Ace Combat experience, get it somewhere else. Like from HAWX.

One of the best military shooters out there. This mil sim has a lot to offer and if it doesn't, you'll find it on the workshop. A compete sandbox that makes all your childhood games with your toy-soldiers possible. Completely flexible and customizable.

However, it's not optimized (or poorly optimized). It lags a lot on AMD CPUs (GPUs have less problems with it, just set everything up to ultra). Also, if on AMD, look for the optimization guide, it will help you a lot. For Intel, there'snotmuch ofa problem.

It's not a perfect game, but it's pretty close.

This movie is what you get when you mix Saints Row, the 80s, Miami Vice, Hitler and Valhalla.

Pure epicness.
