Pre nerf ambassador my beloved has returned to me. Also no annoying cosmetics that ruin a perfect artstyle 10/10 peak fortress

It looks and feels like the original Oblivion did to me when i first played it 15 years ago. I cannot stress enough how much this remake means to me. Oblivion is my favorite and first TES game and coming back to Cyrodiil feels like coming back home. Bethesda and Virtuous take a bow this is an absolutely beautiful and gorgeous experience and I am so grateful to witness it.

The original is the greatest horror game of all time and an absolute must play and I'm so happy Bloober knocked it out of the park with this remake. Its absolutely gorgeous and just as eerie as I remember.

i put off playing this game for nearly 3 years waiting for it to be fully done, i can now safely say that it was absolutely worth it. most fun playing a game all year and im only about 8 hrs into it. so glad CDPR stuck with it.

Wish there was a "Meh" button. It's not bad, but it's also not great. It's tolerable, inoffensive, but a pretty boring experience. Which is upsetting since there was genuinely good potential here but Bethesda played it far too safe imo and the product suffers as a result. I applaud it for having more RPG elements than Fallout 4 (which isn't saying much) but it still feels like Bethesda doesn't quite understand what their core audience wants. Characters are a moderate upgrade from the previous cardboard cutouts of Skyrim and Fallout but NPCs might as well not exist because of how little they add to the world. The exploration is a huge step back which is detrimental for me because that's 75% of the fun in a Bethesda game. As beautiful as some of the scenery of some planets are they serve little purpose most of the time other than filling space. Quests were mostly forgettable in my short time with the game and I had a hard time staying engaged despite really trying to get into it. Gunplay was pretty good overall though I will say. As disappointed as I am there is still some good things in this game it's lacking the soul of the older Bethesda titles. I'd probably give the game a 6/10 which isn't a bad score, but it's below what I expect for a major Bethesda title which is why i'm voting Negatively. I'm hoping they fix some of the exploration and traversal as something as simple as that would likely be enough to nudge it to at least a 7.

the huge potential overwatch had to dominate the industry makes its current state all the more disappointing. as a background i was and still am a diehard tf2 fan and when i first heard of overwatch back in 2015 i was already apprehensive about it but my curiosity finally peaked and i gave it a try in 2016 shortly after release. and while it wasnt the tf2 killer i was lead to believe it was it was its own thing entirely. i was genuinely surprised and happy with how fun and enjoyable the game was. every seasonal event i would grind to try and get all the skins and had a blast playing comp trying to climb and get golden guns for my mains. unfortunately as time went on the game became less and less enjoyable as boring shirld metas and unblanaced heroes plagued every game i played to the point where i dropped the game entirely. fast forward to when overwatch 2 came out and its promised as a fresh start for the game with all the mistakes they learned from the first ironed out and a big step forward, and at first it seemed like it was a genuine improvement. some controversial features at first but i was having fun with the game again but that was also short lived as by the time season 2 rolls around blizzard has shown their continued incompetence in hero balance and overall direction. the battlepass is a soulless cash grab at least lootboxes from overwatch 1 were well executed to be fair and not many had issues with them. seasonal events are a shell of what they were and to top it off the promise of pve will remain unfulfilled with blizzard selling the remains of the gutted system as expansions. i wish this game was in a better state because there is so much good underneath the ♥♥♥♥ pile that is blizzard

had to wait like 30 minutes for shaders to finish but after that performance is pretty solid, especially after the patch. no real bugs yet either and the game looks absolutely gorgeous.

dog ahead

after finishing my first play through i figured i give a serious review. this game is a masterpiece seriously i genuinely love this game. it is easily among fromsoftware's best work along with bloodborne. elden ring takes everything they have learned since demon souls and takes the best aspects of it and meshes it all together beautifully. this game is one the best gaming experiences ive had in years. the world is beautiful and almost overwhelming, the characters are some of the most memorable in the souls series, the lore is absolutely phenomenal, the combat is practically perfected from the previous souls games, the soundtrack and atmosphere is incredible, the art direction is gorgeous, the sheer scale of this game is mind blowing, however it isn't perfect. the biggest issue i have with the game is the balancing particularly the endgame. once you reach a certain point in the game there is a massive difficulty spike almost instantly (obligatory git gud) but deaths start to feel like its less like a mistake i did but the game being difficult for the sake of frustrating. ive heard some say that bosses and enemies were balanced with summons in mind and it definitely feels like that once you get far enough into the game. its unfortunate as it makes my preferred method of playing more frustrating than rewarding at times however it wasn't enough to diminish my overall wonderful time i had with this game and will continue to have with additional playthroughs.
