Game has good bones, the gameplay is solid. Unfortunately one of the most important elements (map-design) is atrocious, the art/customization is tainted by EA's usual greed, the vehicle and weapon balance is terrible, and once again countless player requested features critical to battlefield in the past are afterthoughts.

Vince Zampella was brought onto BF to bring the series back towards BF4, BF3 and that is not what is happening here. We now have tiny maps with no room to breathe for vehicles, small game modes nobody likes, a BR (wtf), a netflix/cod UI, and CSGO skins on vehicles and weapons. With this latest Season 1 update, the honeymoon phase is over.

This game had a solid honeymoon phase on release, longest I've ever played an MMO without taking a break. The game will never be as good as it was when everyone was exploring it together for the first time.

The games main draw these days is raids at the expense of everything else (the raiding isnt good either, it's all solved). There is literally nothing else to do in this game. The social features are ass, the daily gameplay loop is boring as ♥♥♥♥, no PVP, no loot even.

Everything is designed with the goal of getting you to spend more money on making the game less annoying.
