can't launch the game without an rs_launcher.exe asking to make modification on my computer.

I'm desperate for the 700 discord orbs so I accepted, but honestly I won't recommend a steam game that ask for admin privilege (not sur what it did with those privilege and hope I won't have to regret it one day)

A good survivors-like. The graphics are quite nice. There is quite a variety of weapons, artifacts, talismans and characters to unlock.
The upgrades are bought with gold, but to unlock weapons, characters, artifacts, etc... you need to collect achivement (reaching a level with a character, or maxing a weapons, or what else the games requirement are).

For now (at 18 hours in) The pace at which you unlock upgrades or achievements feels good and rewarding. not grindy. the runs are 10-20 min (but the times grows as you add stars (=challenges) to level of the zone you want to run, so I'm sur they are going to reach the 30min or even more later. Also each map has a fourth unlimited time last level that you can unlock.

If I really nitpick the only complain I could think is that there are only 5 maps. But for the rest the game is quite generous in term of content.

unplayable with a keyboard. There is no options to rebind keys. For me the direction keys are QYSD which makes no sens. If only I could use the arrow keys, left, up and right works but alas the down key is bind to the map! Seriously I don't understand why the dev has made multiple update and didn't yet adress the unplayable state with keyboard.

So I decided to try to play with a gamepad as that's the only option.

Now, another thing is at the start the tutorial explains you need to sleep in a bed to save the game. But directly after remove the possibility to go sleep in the bed in the captain house. Which means I had to follow the tutorial for a full hour before finally Eva explains to me that I can go in her guest house to sleep ! Where to save my game should be the first thing explained, not come after all the how to grow crops, rice and how to terraform and this kind of things.

The game shows some promise, but honestly those basic things totally wrong make it hard to recommend.

Early Access Review
Playing Foundry on Early Access Update 2.1; update 2.2 since the 140h mark

After 24h of gameplay:
Fun game, kind of a mix between minecraft and satisfactory. With quite a good amount of content for an early access; I have only unlocked the 3 first research tiers out of five. And I only automated the production of one bot out of 3 unlocked. (there is a lot more of bot, drone and robots to unlock). Also for now my galactic production empire only reach 2 sectors. (the galactic map is big, it'll take forever to reach all).

perhaps some QoL missing. I wish you could teleport between production site instead of always going by feet. But I've seen there is a jetpack that I still need to unlock so could help. Same for making a production site, you need to clean manually all the rocks and trees and making a flat surface. But I also see a station laser to unlock so perhaps that'll help.

Going to happily play a lot more :) (P.S. no bug encountered for now)

edit after 49h:
Ok, one big difference to Minecraft or Satisfactory, is that you can buy license to buy&sell any ore or intermediate material in the galaxy market. That open all kind of strategy, you don't have to build everything from scratch, just build for a profit, and when an ore patch get depleted you can just supply it with a space port instead of having to run km of belt from a new ore patch.

Also I was a dummy; foundation blocks don't have to be build on the ground, just build a 1x1 colum 3 or 4 height and build your foundation in the air, that make things much easier. (still need to take care of the big trees or rock columns, but you don't have to care about terrain irregularities and the smaller rocks and plants)

I unlocked the tier 4 research (not yet automated the production) but looking forward to unlock what I think is the next and last research to unlock all the endgame space station upgrades. Also unlocked the big "buildings," such as the radio tower, which needs to be built with a drone station, transport ship, and supply of construction materials.

happy to keep playing. (P.S. water works like in Minecraft, but we don't have a bucket to transport water source nearer a production site so need to use pipes to transport water from the source)

edit after 90h:
I build in the air; why bother using the space station laser to raze mountains, trees, or whatnot, when you can just be over it? With the freight elevator it makes things easy to move things vertically. Of course there are the liquids (olumite and water) that still need to be transported through pipes. (also there are shuttle for transporting things and also liquids)

Also I build a nice science pack factory to speed up research by importing the material from the galactic market (only making the few not available there). Research going well. Now I have unlocked all the 7 bots, the 6 drones and 5 robots, still need to unlock the hydro-bots.
But I'm only making 6 bots, I still need to manage to scale production to make all the rest! I also gain market dominance on 9 galactic sectors. Feels nice. But I'm far from done, I only have 133 market dominance points and make 2.9 millions firmalits per weeks while the leader of the competitors leaderboard has 60'718 points and a weekly earnings of 265 millions firmalits.

honestly the game is missing a blueprint system to scale building factories. (but I read there is a mod that do something like that)

edit after 147h:
First I must tell you that I modded the game since the 120h mark. I got:
- portal; which allows teleportation between portals
- planit; which helps get a view of the resources and how many machines are required to produce a given number of items
- duplicationer; a blueprint system that's quite helpful to layout the factory faster :)
- player inventory upgrade; give you an invVI research that unlock 30 additional inventory slots, because there is never enough inventory space XD

I spent the last 57h building a drone factory with a nice main bus layout. With all the modular buildings required like 2 blast furnaces and 5 fracking towers that allow my ore veins to be infinite!
Now I'm producing all the bots and drones, but I only have 900 market dominance points, so I'm still last on the galactic leaderboard. And my bots&drones production isn't enough to satisfy the demand of the planets I got a trade license for.

next on the agenda I'l try to make the robots and the hydro-drones, but taking the shortcut of buying the material from the galactic market :p

the graphism are not the best and the tutorial is rough on the edge, but if you can go past that you'll find a very fun game.

first review after 18h of gameplay:
---------------------------------------------
For my first run I failed lamentably! (well at least I got some achievement that you only get when failing)
Got deep into red, making loans after loans to reimburse previous loans. (lesson learnt, need to better manage expense depending on my income)
I didn't care enough for the stamina of the girls, working them to the bone; well that backfire because they got injured and went on 3 months hiatus (unlike 19% of players who never got the achievement for building the required break room; taking time to care for their stamina is a must) I also was realizing singles after singles without waiting for the earning malus to ware off.

Second run, first build after my office was the break room. I didn't hire a choreographer nor music producer until much later, working almost alone with the marketing staffer to make the single until unlocking the concerts. And only once making real money did I manually raised the girls wages. Also worked on realizing the girls wishes. Worth it ! Got the award for best employer ! I'll have to work hard to get the other awards :)
I'm 50M in the black, but wasn't all the time so smooth; manage to have a critical failed single that put me 10M in red.

Also now I have 9 scandals points, that put me at some disadvantages (-20% singles sales, -20% concert attendance, -60% popularity bonus) honestly it hurts, like before I was making 4.5k new fans for a singles with half the sales, now I barely made 900 new fans for my last single. But having to fire the "scandalous" girls in the team after all they have done feel so wrong XD

Happily planning to play more... to get more achievements, finish the story mode, and try to max my performance and promotion levels

update, after 37h of gameplay
-----------------------------------------
Ok resolved my scandals troubles and I finished the story mode with 6B; unfortunately I didn't succeed in getting my girls to sing at the end ceremony for the summer games :'(

Story mode add nice objectives to achieve to unlock the stories and cutscenes that give a welcome distraction from the grinding for fans and the game loop of releasing singles and concerts. At one time you have to commit to one branch of story. (honestly I'm not sure I want to reload my saves to try all the branches...)

Once you unlock the biggest concert venue, the earning are insane! So you'll have all the time and money you want to take care of the girls with physicians and all the coaches you can have.

Also I finally experimented bulling. One time I was able to find the bully and confront her (had enough influence with her to stop the bulling). The second time I failed to find the bully before the thing resolved itself and the bulling ended. XD (had a doc to take care of the mental health of the bullied of course).

Finally, let's talk about the bugs I encountered, which you'll encounter too as dev has left the game:
- the game getting lock in paused mode,
- or the mouse getting stuck with the drag&drop icon.
They are easily solved by saving the game, quitting, launching and reloading. A bit annoying that's all, but nothing that prevented me from continuing the game.

If you know the french web serie it's based on there are a lot of nice references.
Else it's still a nice JRPG.
but wish you could choose your class or have a tracker for the main quest.

Sales of Dwarfheim have already been halted, and server support will be ended on November 30, 2023.

Dwarfheim actually has a singleplayer mode, but even that won't be available once the servers go offline. -_-"
