Hi!

Hey sadjack! I think the closest might be Dungeons & Dragons Online, but as for anything closer, I can't think of anything, but it would be really cool. I think the problem would be pnp mechanics vs video game mechanics. Though most of the D&D games do come pretty close with crossing over and Sword Coast Legends does play into The Sundering in the PnP game, granted, I think that storyline is now over. And each of the PnP adventures WotC put out, enevitably get put into Neverwinter. I for one, would love to see some sort of crossover.

Darkstar, have you run across any pnp-videogame hybrids? I think Fantasy Grounds and Roll20 are a step in that direction from pnp, and Eon Altar from the videogame side. But they don't take pnp into the greater complexity (e.g. combat resolution) and immersion (visuals & audio) that a computer could provide. I like rolling dice and face2face rp, but I keep thinking there's more to be had. Maybe even "VR" instead of tabletop: or shall this be known forevermore as the Sadjack Heresy?

Oh man, that's as painful as losing them by flooding. I'm definitely looking forward to checking out the platform. I've had a lot of fun messing around with Revolution and T&T looks to be a lot of fun too.

Right on, I skipped the FG, was always curious about it. I loved my Complete Book of Dwarves from back in the day! All of my 2nd edition books got sold back in the day while I was in the hospital by my mother. *shakes fist* Boxes of them sold for 50 cents each book, so terrible. I'm distracting the heck out of the guy developing T&T, so once you jump on board with that I'll be around if you ever want to talk for sure!

Hey DM:Mag! I'm always up to talking about gaming and what not. I'm heavily influenced by Fantasy Grounds, but I've also invested in Revolution: Virtual Playspace and Tabletop Simulator and once T&T comes out, will be purchasing that as well. I remember and love 2e AD&D, I think it was more of a love for the game than just to pump out more stuff, despite how many supplements AD&D had. It seems like it's gone to more the almighty dollar sign than the love of the game. I don't know. It's different somehow. I think I still have my Complete Book of Dwarves around somewhere. I lost a lot of books when my basement flooded. :( Ars Magica, (old) World of Darkness, Men In Black, Shadowrun 2e. Gamers are gamers no matter what system.

I can attest to Darkstar's lunacy and RP prowess, been playing with him for over 15 years. Hail Nigel! - your ever faithful protector

Just caught your name on the Tokens and Tilesets members list and the "Gamemaster" title made me grin. Wanted to say hello is all. It looks like the only crossover for gaming systems we have is I started on 2nd edition DND, and a few sessions of SR 4eA before our DM tapped out a while back. Years of 3.5 via Maptools and PbP and the last several via PF. I'll be around on the T&T group if you ever want to talk shop about DM'ing or that client. Hope you have a good one!

@otaku 2 While I've spent my time in Star Wars Galaxies, WoW, Guild Wars, and countless other games, my first love is tabletop rpgs. D&D, Shadowrun, Vampire: The Masquerade among more countless other games. Not to mention the countless hours upon hours of writing the game, plus learning, in this case, learning Fantasy Grounds. So as far as tabletop rpgs are concerned, yes, mad as a hatter. Wouldn't have it any other way! :D :d20:
