You are not ready for this game. If you want to challenge yourself make sure to join a guild so you don't pre-emptivize burnout trying to figure everything out. There are many trial and error steps to understanding many concepts, usually all in tandem for many advanced items (of which there are more than you could imagine). There is an infinite amount of customization when it comes to how you do things, which can mean an infinite amount of ways to do things inefficiently (this is why it is important to join a guild so you can talk to people who won't mislead you and who won't mind helping you) Pay to Win is not true, but there are so many QoL items that it's impossible to not want to spend at least 300 or so on like storage/marketplace maids, tent with repair/pots and buffs for sale, mount skill exchange coupons etc. There are also 3 (main) buffs that are give awesome effects, essentially broken into 3 main membership packages. These are the Value pack, Old moon Book, and Kamasylvie tree or something lol (I never use anything I just hoard) and you get them for free just for logging in- It's nuts. I have so many of these.... The most important is value pack, because without it you basically get 30% less for every item you sell on the marketplace (which is very often). Keep in mind you can save bigger items that you want to sell for profit in your warehouse waiting for a value pack. I have to say though, every time I come online after being offline for a while I always have 15 days worth of value pack for free already on my character! You can also (rarely) get purchase orders filled for a 30 day value pack/oldmoonbook/kama tree with in game currency! I love this game because it rewards real players instead of making you want to spend 20 dollars just to log on your character when you think about fond memories one day.

When you start this game you will be 10 times worse than the lowest setting bots (Passive).

You hop on unranked and get laughed at by many people who feel you are truly less than them, with few who tell you you're doing good for your first day playing. People tell you to ask for guides and to ask specific questions on your build so they can help you instead of make fun of you.

You watch 2 hours of Alexander Coccia (Funny guy, great beginner guide) and you start to understand the very basics of the game that you thought you wouldn't need to know. Feeling the tips of these videos and understanding more about gaining exp, you feel a sudden urge to hop back on and attempt to utilise your new-found knowledge.

You hop back into unranked solo, get queue'd with people who are over level 300 in the battlepass and somehow do worse as you feed your lane while attempting to deny and last hit creeps as your support camps behind tower and calls you a bot, saying just don't get hooked by pudge and watching you get 2v1'd.

After a few more games and some DATOHLEONG vids, you realise that to be mediocre in the game you need an extensive knowledge of the matchups of over 100 characters, as well as a sincere desire to be viewed as less than a human for playing unranked and not bots-
