Well, I got banned from the community hub for suggesting the game dev not post his radical political (and spiritual) views on his public facing social media account which you can access from within the game.
'!@#$ THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA' reads one of his reposts, for example. It's everything else you'd expect from a Bluesky account, too.

Arcade style car combat. Nails the early 2000's gaming vibe. Twisted Metal meets Mad Max, Vigilante 8 meets Test Drive Off-Road: Wide Open, Gran Turismo 2 rally meets Twisted Metal. It's the game you could've only dreamed for two decades ago.

Love the visual effects and art style, the way your little car will be thrashing around the wastes. Plenty of humorous pop culture references scattered in there as well. Well done FUMES Team. Noot Noot!

A few months ago, recent reviews for Ready or Not were overwhelmingly positive (+95%). A review bomb by Steam Level 0 bots (literally and figuratively speaking), and cries of 'censorship,' right on time for RoN's console release, appears to be an orchestrated hit job on an otherwise small indie Dev team.
Quality game, something you would expect from a AAA developer (but that you never got). Intense gunfights, dark atmosphere, good fun. 10/10, would shoot crackheads and pedophiles pointing guns at me again.

Would suggest looking into what the Crew games are all about before buying. It's about effectively managing and tasking several crew members where they are needed, when they are needed, as the world around you throws every kind of threat your way.
As a fan of Bomber Crew, this is something of a game on another level.

Physics heavy transportation game, take jobs to earn money & experience or just cruise around online. Very relaxed atmosphere, play at your own pace / open world sandbox. Clearly a lot of love put into the development process, w/ monthly updates. Above all else, it's a good time. Driving is fun, with special attention to the 'feel' of every vehicle. Weight transfers are hard to master and weight distribution changes everything.
Would I recommend? That's a big yes. Well worth the asking price. An obscure game like this deserves far more attention.

My first impulse buy that I don't regret. Great nostalgic title for anyone who've played the PS2 originals.

DO NOT touch this game on PC.
Would recommend it on a Series X or PS5, because the gameplay is quite fun.

The PC experience is so bad that I've requested a refund. Graphics wise, I can't get the game to look better than a 15 y/o racing sim. Even if I were to upscale 200%, with 'Ultra' graphic setting, the visual fidelity I'm getting on a 1440p monitor is hideous. Performance wise, just as disappointing - sub 60 FPS with the aforementioned settings (on a 7900xtx). This makes no sense to me because I remember the game performing good and looking much cleaner on console.

And then I had to google how to exit the game because the ESC key does nothing. Almost an unplayable game on Mouse and Keyboard. You're stuck having to navigate the menus using the arrow keys. Your Mouse does nothing at all, no free looking around your car in game, and no 'pointing and clicking' in the menus.

Buying this game on PC has been so disappointing that I have to give this a big thumbs down. A horribly optimised PC experience and I want my 5$ back.

A fun 4X RTS with unimpeded warfare. Less demanding gameplay mechanics to learn when compared to something like Stellaris. Plenty of tutorials and levels of difficulty to get you started. Lacks a campaign mode of any kind (currently, Dec 2024), which is fine for me in this genre of game. Would recommend newcomers to 4X games to give this one a shot.

Comparison is the thief of joy, so I can imagine some are upset that this game isn't what they wanted for a sequel. But I'm having fun with it, and haven't experienced any bugs of any kind. Runs surprisingly well too. With FPS capped at about 120 fps, on a 2k monitor, my GPU (7900xtx) runs at about 30% in the early game, up to about 45% in late game.
