As much as I wanted to enjoy this game as a long time Mafia fan, this game fell too far from the mark with obnoxious predictability and cliches.
While I don't want to judge this game based on previous Mafia titles, I have absolutely zero respect for the way this game's last mission ended. I was tolerant to some of the annoyances when the game first came out, especially the initial limitation of exploring the world and find more lore, the ending simply crushed any hopes I had let alone wanting to be satisfied.

Please do not buy this game, let my review and purchase be a lesson for the rest of the community.

Do not purchase this game.

It is a Unity asset clone that feels more like testing Unity mechanics than any genuine gameplay.
Models to firearms and icons don't match (such as a P38 pistol with a 1911 icon) and clothing assets named like Pgv_01 really hits the nail for me.
This is not worth 25 dollars and it certainly isn't worth it on sale.
There is zero justification to wait or purchase this. Feels uncomfortably deceptive compared to the Early Access trailer.

Been so excited to sit down and play this game for a while and I am DEFINITELY going to pick it up when it comes out.
Devs if you're seeing this, please at-least give the option to disable jumpscares/screamers in your game (or better, just remove them entirely).

Disappointed. Timebomb duck didn't detonate.

I think an honest and fair assessment of this game is invaluable without the external factors from other YouTube reviewers or bias. I wanted to come to this game with a fresh mind and without high expectations, like any game when it releases there will be problems.

Overall I would recommend this game to others but I admit it does need several patches and multiple tweaks to elements to improve overall play experience to a higher golden star sticker.

- Human AI definitely needs to roam the Zone more; lifeless in some places.
- Mutant AI runs away from you when you scale on top of objects like cars -- they don't jump at you
- Cost of repairing your guns/suits is ungodly high and so far found no way to repair them myself other than a tech/repairman in neutral zones. Cost for repair needs major adjustment.
- Day/night cycle is pretty short, longer days and nights could be invaluable.
- Flashlight could be brighter/have longer range
- Durability for weapons is really low; combined with high repair cost you'll go broke pretty quickly.
- Lack of food/drink variety, no means to cook. Would love to see more options.
- The grenade spamming is obnoxious and the stun duration/strength definitely needs to be reduced.
- At times the enemies guns will not appear in their inventory. This can be problematic in the long run or if a gun gets flown away (or clips under map) from their body.
- Not a whole lot of ways to make money, more variety with loot to sell would be nice
- Broken guns cannot be sold and repairing them to make money is purely a net loss.

All in all these are only problems that affect the Quality of Life to the game. The games performance is great and it runs really well. Combination of Frame Generation and Nvidia Reflex/Low Latency and down-scaling from Ultra/max to high I get on average 60-110 fps on my RTX 3080.
If you're strapped for cash let this game cook a little more for it to be worth your while, but I absolutely recommend picking up this game.

Why do you have a guy wielding 1911's in the cover if you're not going to have them in the game?

Always online is a mistake.
No offline mode, I dropped 100 dollars on this game to be stuck in the menu.
Give me a way to play private and solo and I'll change this to recommended.

Will change my review to positive once a game-breaking soft-lock bug preventing me from finishing my second run is patched.
For those wondering, the game soft-locks when you get a certain story-specific achievement.
