I've found this to be the most polished and enjoyable of the three games in the franchise with improvements/lessons learned from the prior games. While not completely perfect, this really is an enjoyable experience and the most control over park design we have seen yet. Additionally this is the highest level of customization we've enjoyed in game. I like the new younger animals game play they've added and look forward to expansions adding new creatures and new challenges.

The game is quite enjoyable; an excellent strategy game with key historical elements and the freedom to design your ideal warships for world domination. While it's unfortunate it never got a true multiplayer campaign, I still recommend the game to both naval history buffs and strategy game enthusiasts alike.

It is tremendously satisfying to see a warship you designed, bought, built, trained, and deployed square off with the various machinations of the AI's historically sound designs and to prevail in a battle of fire and steel.

So far a massive "YES!" on recommending. It's everything I loved in the original and now with new mechanics we wanted, like making plaza areas and lots of upgraded management functions. There are a few bugs they'll hopefully stamp out, but they've been minor and cosmetic thus far for me.

If I was going to list a negative, it's that this one ships with fewer thematic sets of scenery than the original, but I'm sure those will be added via DLC.

Bottom line: If you like the last one, you'll enjoy this too, worth the purchase.

Overall, this is a pretty good game. It's not without it's bugs (nearly every time I had a quest item already in inventory when I happened to talk to someone who would give me a quest for that object, it bugged out on me), and it's very difficult to tell where you can and cannot pass on the map at times, but that aside, this feels like it incorporates a lot of the best elements of games like Heroes of Might and Magic Series and Mount and Blade (the map is certainly very reminiscent of the second).

The game is entertaining, the story is good, and the combat is satisfying. Learning curve is a bit steep and there are some bugs, but over all, I give this one a thumbs up.

Dwarf Fortress remains one of the greatest "Colony Sim" style games ever created. The learning curve can be a bit rough, but it has absolutely incredible depth and I find myself losing so many hours to designing the most incredible traps or building the ideal throne room and I couldn't be happier. If you're ever going to get into the "Colony Sim" style game, it's Dwarf Fortress and Rimworld as the two I always point people to; though Dwarf Fortress Vanilla is better than it's Rimworld Vanilla cousin. If you want to build your ultimate fantasy-setting fortress and fend off monsters and goblins and who knows what; this is the go to.

Well, I'm 7 hours in and so far I'm enjoying it. Right to the point, if you enjoyed the last one, this one is right up your alley; if not, it's probably not for you.

Everything you liked about the last game is here, the management of the environments, the excellent dinosaur animations, the park management, etc. They did fix a number of things that I, personally, disliked in the last game. It's a bit easier to set up routines for your staff to check on dinosaurs and automatically refill their food, etc (no more individually queing up every refill task!).

The biggest change, in my opinion, is map size. Granted, I haven't played every map and scenario as yet, but the ones I have feel open and unrestrained, where I can create the dinosaur attractions I want to without the path tool freaking out because I'm too close to the map edge or something similar.

There's a lot more options on the vegetation side of the thing and the dinosaurs now eat the plants they like in their enclosure, so I view that as a big win too. (Not to worry, you can still set goats loose for your entertain-err..."Science".

The game looks great, ran smooth, and the only bug I encountered was an event not triggering on the second map of the first campaign, went back to a save before the event; ran fine.

Overall, it scratches that Dinosaur management itch and the animals look fantastic. They still do that thing where the people are not individualized by an animation series over the paths which is my only true fault of the game; they corrected everything else I didn't like and kept the things I did. Solid 8/10 for me.

Early Access Review
It's a little rough around the edges (as you might expect for being in development), but it delivers as promised; you build a factory (later factories), arrange conveyor belts and machines to turn widget A into Advanced widget A, and then combine box and ship. Mechanics-wise it's fine and serviceable. If you're looking for a new factory game and you like the arms trader theme; this is a solid match for you. That said, don't look for too much depth beyond that. It's up front with what it is and doesn't get much deeper.

Remember Sim Tower? It's basically this with a more modern UI, a bit more depth, and more building services to manage. Worth picking up if you're a fan of management games or just remember Sim Tower fondly.

So this is a bit complex.

This is being written on the eve of yet another server I played on regularly being shut down. I suppose I have to summarize my view on the game as being what you can make of it. DayZ is a game past its prime with ongoing support that is, often, enraging in the execution of new content and fixes for known issues.

What has made this game last this long and kept it playable and interesting has been the modding community, which has some incredibly talented people working to tease out cool things from this game. At its core it's a good zombie/survival/open world game, though limited in its vanilla content; it can support a huge array of mods (in my own experience second only to the Arma community for variety and number).

There's a lot that can be experienced via mods that you'd never have seen in the vanilla game; racing go karts on a pro-series race track, raining down firepower from a helicopter, mining and smelting your own ores. The list goes on and on and rather than get bogged down in the details of every mod, just suffice it to say I count it as an incentive towards recommending and getting this game.

I've had some really memorable gaming moments in this game and had the genuine privilege to run with an incredible assortment of characters over the years. Adventures and intense escapes I wouldn't trade for the world.

It's hard to "recommend" a game that is clearly on the down slope of its lifetime and whose official support is this infuriating, but I'd not change the 2292 hours (at time of this writing) I've put into the game and larger community. The people I met, befriended, battled, feuded with...it all became a very important chapter in my gaming life.

So am I saying buy a full-retail price game in its last hours? Maybe.

What I am saying; is the experiences are worth taking a chance on.

An excellent space colony builder with enough variable content to make multiple play throughs unique and challenging. Resource management, city design, everything you would expect in an easy UI. If you're looking for a good amount of realism in Sci-fi along with some fascinating real tidbits along the way, look no further.
