Adds new missions, non atmospheric planet landing (basic at the moment) and lots of other features like engineering (crafting) and ability to fight Thargoid aliens. A must have for Elite players who are serious.

Positive review based on my main review here:

HARDCORE SPACE SIM FOR SPACE TRUCKERS, STAR TREKKIE EXPLORER GEEKS AND SCI FI NERDS!

VR is excellent very immersive and a great tech show case.

Elite is an on going development so won't appeal to everyone there's a lot missing in this game but a lot of content too it's come a long way in 4 years. Quality of life and things like late game and MMO related content tend to be weak or missing currently, there is stuff to do late game but more of the focus is solo experience and earning credits.

The devs aren't an EA sized company but have a proven track record in space sim development having made Elite games since the late 80s. You will need patience but at the same time you can see what a great achievement the Elite galaxy is.

I'd say most people should get 50-100 hours out of Elite. The space battles and ship vs ship combat are the main focus but there's trading, mining, exploration and a mission system and background sim for economies and system governments. This is all improving but isn't perfect.

FYI everyone ends up fighting at some point and the NPC AI is fairly decent too.... even traders end up pew pewing but you can find high security systems with police.

Missions are a bit grind fest and basic and rinse repeat but this is something devs are improving slowly. The solo content and single player experience is there but multiplayer wise the game needs work but with squadrons, wing missions and alien incursions there are now things to do with friends. 2019 is going to be the year when multiplayer and coop catches up to solo activity. Recent wing scenarios and other coop stuff have been added.

Elite overall has quite a bit of grind if you focus on upgrading ships and engineering (enchanting from others games) but if you want a semi free roam space game it's the boy and you'll appreciate it more if you take your time. Elite is in a much better state than Star Citizen and has more depth than Evochron Legacy. I've played all 3 games!

To sum up great PvE combat... PvP is good but takes time to level and engineer to be able to compete and high skill cap... nice trade system with mining too, plenty of combat and good amount of exploration with 400 billion star systems for truckers n explorer geeks. Plenty of good player groups willing to do PvE and PvP or teach new people but multiplayer content is slow to come. Friendly community on forums and Facebook though development a bit hit and miss people wish devs would talk more to community that said Elite is the best space sim out there...

VERY HARD DIFFICULTY AND LEARNING CURVE FOR NEW PLAYERS!

Recommend control pad or joystick but not required.

So come on space nerds n sci fi geeks pay your money and submit a BRITISH GAME DEVELOPER!

Arcadey racer/good quick time killer... has a track editor can be fun in a group competing to see who can get the fastest lap on some crazy loop the loop sky ledge sheer drop whacky track someones made. Massive online community, free to play and no cheaters. It's no R Racing or F1 game but if you want a simple racer to kill half an hour with your mates go for it.

Can't really place it genre wise... I'd say somewhere between Micromachines and Flatout but with no car destruction or weapons just racing and time trials on a variety or sensible and top level crazy race tracks.

CS:GO Review
It's CS in it's modern form... slightly watered down and diet mode to attract new players. I don't really care for skins and unlocks when I'm playing CS but at least they retained a lot of the classic maps and weapons. No more custom servers or scout knives though!

Easier to learn and play then 1.6 and Source the older games. Casual is just full of mic spamming children and really bad players so don't expect anyone to play actual CS there it's just team death match. Just play competitive if you want the real CS experience and you'll generally find a friendly and serious community until GOLD ranks and above when it does get a little toxic. I'd say 1.6 and Source are TRUE and HARDCORE versions this is aimed at vets and the COD crew. I still enjoy it but miss the old days of Team Speak, Wireplay, Jolt and 150 ping!

Because it's free do expect the occasional hacker or smurf but it's no where near as bad as people make out. Smurfing is generally hard to do as low ranks and new players have a 2 win per day max lock out.

100% recommend playing with a friend or two but people do use comms in competitive play.

Where's de_vegas, de_747, cs_siege and cs_thunder though :-(

7 out of 10

P.S Don't bother with Danger Zone it sucks just play PUBG or ROE if you want to play a battle royale, CS should stick to team based shooter that's what it does best

This game is the love child of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Counter Strike and Team Fortress.

Team based shooter lots of fun very quick paced with classes and objective based maps... FREE! Yes some hackers but no more than any other game. Generally a decent game and one of the best free games on Steam. Plenty of cool maps with various objectives and some cool classes and characters. Defiantly one to play with friends on comms!

Should run alright on low end to mid range computers but looks fairly good on modern hardware if you don't mind the Unreal engine... at least they made their own graphics and assets and didn't do a copy and paste.

Not much else to say really.... if you like fast paced shooters with teams and attack/defend style game play check it out.

Shame it's now dead no more dev updates all paid content refunded to playerbase... is a game that is still fun to play but Splash Damage missed a real opportunity here could have had a great competitive community went from 5000 players daily to about 200.

No longer being updated as of Jan 2019. RIP
