A good horror game and especially so if you enjoyed anything from Frictional, just long enough if you like exploring every nook and cranny. Will feel short if you blast through it.
Do not fear the creature but respect it for not harming you yet and punish it for trying and you will have a good time.
Do not respect doors, they are in the way and many things can be a key if you use it wrong enough :)

If you loved old System Shock you will be satisfied.
If this is your entry into the shock franchise you will be terrified.

Dont be ashamed to check a guide if you get stuck, nothing in this game is going to be condescending except SHODAN, but that's ok, you have a big metal stick :)

Game with cat on label was entirely about cat, you get what you expect and some good story too.
