I can recommend this game if any one of these applies to you :

- If you want to be a king riding in a floating castle while commanding hundreds of lightning infused rats as they ride on the back of velociraptors into battle...

- If you prefer traditional approach with a castle flinging cannonballs out into the battlefield as your knights tank the frontline and your soldier ride on the back of roided out wild boars....

- You want a entire battalion of electromancer wizards being guarded by warlocks as they smash down AoE shock damage and dragons fly overhead breathing fire in your enemies faces...

- You want a machine-gun tower turret that gains permanent attack speed as you gain more gold, along with cute little goats that give gold if they're killed.

- You want hordes of explosive bombers that run head first into frontlines while you summon imps for each bomber that dies.

- You want the entire battlefield covered in deadly mushrooms that overwhelm your enemies while your elves rain down poison dipped arrows...

Got demolished by a 4-armed floating god and his legion of golden warriors. 10/10.

1) Needs more "symbols". Maybe like some ice spells (freeze chance and damage) more fire symbols (burn maybe). I mean I could think of several. would love to see more.

2) Regardless of maybe needing a few more "symbols" (which are spells/skills/weapons in this game) this game has that sweet addictive rush of a casino slot machine, with incredible juice and feedback, great music, and a great feel to it. Especially when you hit that juicy Critical Hit, oh boy...just so nice.

VERY well made game. Yes, its actually worth the price I paid for it. But would love to see more symbols.

Shows promise. Fun environment, good upgrades so far, real neat little game so far. But man, that movement speed is tough in this one. Movement speed is so slow by default, its rough. But once I got going it was fun. Definitely needs more upgrades, weapons, etc. Looking forward to updates.

This is Part 1 of, evidently, a 2 part horror game. My thoughts below...

1) In this first part, the automatic eye blinking had literally no effect in the game. There was no mechanic attached to it, no consequences of it...literally nothing associated with it.
2) There are a handful of minor issues, spelling, missing sounds, etc. It's not at all a big deal, actually.
3) The graphics are great.
4) It is VERY creepy. Once the story starts going, the house you're in becomes really scary. And as the game progresses, you start to realize there's more to the story than what's going on in the house. Which, honestly, just makes me REALLY want to play the second game.
5) I would totally recommend this game. There were only a couple "issues". And honestly, the word "issues" is even a bit too strong a word to use. Nothing a patch or two can't fix.

Overall, GREAT experience and I'm glad I got this game. I look forward to the next part.

Superb atmosphere, level design, and audio. I never thought that it pulled any cheap punches, none of the scares were cheap or random. The scary moments were either well deserved or you knew it was coming but didn't know when.

During my play, I really enjoyed both the ambient soundtrack and sound fx, but it was the silence that really surprised me. I haven't seen many games take advantage of not having any music playing, its just you and your footsteps and.....well, you'll find out. :)

I recommend this. Well polished, great atmosphere. A bit short, but it wasn't that expensive of a game. I do have some technical issues that I think the developer could use to improve some instances of gameplay, but unless they contact me I won't waste anyone's time going through them here.

I recommend this. You won't regret it.

I played the DayZ mod for over a year and loved it. Regardless of its alpha state, the standalone is awesome compared to the mod.

Environment: The sky, trees, textures, and buildings look amazing. If you played the mod, then you know which buildings have loot and which buildings people can hide in, so you usually just concentrate on those when entering a city. In this standalone, every single building is enterable and it adds so much, not only for looting, but for combat as well. There is a real sense of urban combat in the game as players can be on the third floor of a building that used to be unenterable. Now those tiny villages and towns that had NOTHING to offer are actually a place of interest. Each building is enterable...so the small towns and villages now add to the gameplay rather than just act as ambient scenery pieces.

Gameplay: The inventory system is much better, albeit a little slow to respond to your actions. The inventory management is great as well...moving your items "into" other items or "using" items ON other items is great. Things are a lot smoother than the mod as well. Both FPS and just navigating cities are much better. No more waiting for 2 seconds to find the sweet spot on a door to open with your mousewheel...look at it and press F.

The new area above Cherno is ridiculously awesome. Berezino has some changes to it...Balota...NWAF. If you look at the map on DayZDB, you'll see A BUNCH of new roads and city areas that haven't been put in yet. Bottom line> This has more potential than most realize. They have fixed the most frustrating bugs to prevent rage quitting (rubber banding and character reset) so the rest of the odd bugs are easily ignored/forgotten. Get yourself a friend or two and play.

Held 4 people up...met some in-game...forced 2 players to run after a fireaxe and kill the other...had a huge urban firefight in Elektro with people on different floors of different buildings.

Buy it. Stop thinking about it. If you're not satisfied with it, uninstall it and wait a while. At least you'll have it. But I promise you, you'll be surprised with the game, especially if you played the mod. It was worth it in my opinion!
