I got it while it was on sale after getting hyped for it from some Tiktok reviews. I should have done more research before impulse buying. The game's art is great and the music is pretty good but that's about all I can say for it. It feels very much like an early access game. The world is very empty, all of the people in town are lifeless and not having actual dialogue when using any of the speech choices is mind-boggling. You can romance almost anyone but what's the point when there's no appeal to talking to people much less going on dates with them?

There's three aspects to the game that it's a mashup of and it feels like it needs more time in the oven. The Stardew aspect of farming and having relationships is in the game but only at the surface level, there's no real need to farm at all and once again the communication of NPCs is lackluster.

You have the pokemon collection aspect but seeing as how the spirits don't evolve or even really grow makes the appeal non-existant, you just collect a bunch of them to put into a barn to farm resources.

The card battling aspect from Slay the Spire and other deck builders is decent but lacks depth. Everything revolves around knocking off armor and then doing damage. If you level up your spirits you gain too many cards and have to curate every spirit to be useful. If you lose a battle you lose out on the entire rest of your day so if you have one or two hands at the beginning where you can't take off armor, you're basically screwed.

I'm glad to see the game gets updates frequently but due to the way the game was created there's no mod support so if there's anything you would like to change, good luck because every update will break them. It's so bad that the mod creators stop supporting their mods due to frustration.

I'd give this game a 4.5-5/10; the foundation for a great game is there but it really needs work to shine.
