Lovely platformer, very chill and more focused on exploration than high skill. Not very long, but on the plus side doesn't overstay it's welcome.

Rough around the edges, but has great exploration and an intriguing mystery mostly well told.

Great game. One of the best open world's I've played recently, great combat and amazing story. Even most side activities barred a few are fun to do.

Just my favorite metroidvania currently, incredible setting, fun gameplay and stellar voice acting, specially in Spanish.

Nice survival horror with some good puzzles. Combat, enemy variety aren't anything to write home about but are still enjoyable enough. Story is alright too, although i feel it does a poor job at immersing you into the madness around you, it does feed you a few crumbs to engage you in what is going on .

Good to spend a couple of hours.

Amazing game. It has the grungyness of Quake, demonic iconography of Doom, gameplay is a top down arena shooter with incredibly tight controls.

Unlike many similar games though, it is not procreduraly generated, each wave happens exactly the same no matter how many times you retry a level, or layer as its called here. This works in this game's favor, since for the many challenges of this game you don't have to rely on luck and can actually prepare for whats coming up, the challenges themselves are very fun and highlight individual game mechanics, which as you learn helps you improve your high score. They also in many cases unlock new gear.

The playable character always carries a sword, dual handguns, a heavy weapon, a relic and armor, each with different attributes and behaviors that sinergize with one another, like a relic that makes life crystals more effective and a special attack that tags more enemies making them drop more crystals. The game also has a reload mechanic, which changes a weapon's behavior, for example press attack with a sword at the right time when reloading and you'll spin attack, with a gun and you'll fire a more poweful aoe attack or fire more rapidly, each weapon has a different alt attack synched with the reload, except the heavier weapons, you need to collect red crystals that enemies usually drop when killed and they act like a sort of ultimate attack doing heavy damage and making enemies drop life crystals, you can absorb red crystals from farther away with the press of a buttom and if you synch with the reload, from across the whole arena.

Other mechanics is a parry of certain attacks, that usually kill the attacker in one hit and if you have your blade charged can slow time for a bit, the more you kill enemies in fast succession you raise a meter that once levelled up makes you fire faster and also you have a dash move that grants you iframes, how far and how often you do dependant on your armor.

The game is an absolute joy to play, fast and with a heavy punch. It hides a surprising amount of depth and the more you play the more fun it gets, also very approachable with many difficult levels and is endlessly replayable. Easy recommendation.

One of the best narrative experiences I've played, the less you know about it, the better. But it's a nicely paced story, mostly focused on following the narrative beats and understanding what is going on, despite the confusing start most pieces starts to fall into place as you pay attention to what happens around you. Also one of the best examples of a game using metaphors and symbolism, but not forgetting to tie it up with a coherent narrative. Recommended.
