You see, I got what I payed for, a great space sim with plenty of things to do, I never opened this game up thinking that I will advance the plot in any way. Those who say that the game is a mile wide but an inch deep may be correct, but they are going about this game with the incorrect mindset, this isn't a game where you just go to a place and do this and that, this is a game where you make it fun for yourself. Everyone is just too lazy to see that not every game has to have a mountain of story driven content, or at least some aspect of a plot, or anything of the like. This game is for you to make your own fun, may it be with friends, randoms, or alone.

This game on its own, in its entirety, is a beautifully made space simulator, with some faults of course. Somtimes you find overpowered AI, and you can't do much about it as they rip your hull to dust as you sit there and contemplate how much money you'll have left after this first destruction. And somtimes you'll be subject to server issues when it comes to trying to play with friends, but those are small things to worry about, and will be patched out. This is in all basis an MMORPG, where you grind, and grind to get to some form of uncounted experience to make yourself more powerful in the longterm, but your level doesn't affect how much damage you do, your piloting, and your overall skill in dogfighting is all you need to win almost any confrontation, unless there is some glitch where an eagle has hybrid engineer weapons and completely turns you into a ham sandwich before you have time to say Oh--. I digress, with these things, I find this game to be exactly what I asked for, and more, I don't mind paying $20-$60 every year for a new expansion, simply because I can do so believing that I will get these expansions, and they will be absolutely phenominal, even if I have to wait.

Those who say that this game is empty, and with nothing to do are describing most of space, in actuality. In a lot of space there is nothing to do, besides drooling over how pretty it is, or how you might get roasted because you're extremely close to that one star you manage to get to within your lifetime, people who play this game must go in knowing that you make your own fun, don't expect the game to do it for you, there aren't any story driven quests, but its up to you to make that story up, make it fun for yourself.

In conclusion, this game isn't for those looking for a story already writen for them, this is a game where you write that story for others to emulate, for others to idolize. You aren't Skywalker, your're Han Solo, freelancer wanting to make the most money possible before he croaks. Accept the game for what it is, not for what *you* want it to be. It will become what it will be in the future, and if you don't like that, get out.
