I recently came across your story related to Thrill of the Fight, and I just wanted to say — it was genuinely inspiring.
I'm a filmmaker based in Korea, and I've been both a long-time VR enthusiast and player myself. I actually heard about your experience a while back when I was active in Korea's VR community, and it really stuck with me.
It's frustrating how VR and gaming often get dismissed or viewed through prejudiced lenses,
when they can genuinely help people grow and change. That's something I'm passionate about showing people,
and recently I got the push I needed to do something about it. I'm participating in a VR Shorts competition hosted by VIVE Korea right now, and while brainstorming content ideas,
I kept coming back to this project I've wanted to do for ages — starting a VR-focused YouTube channel.
I'll be accompanied by a friend who will interpret during the interview, so we don't anticipate any communication problems
I'm thinking 30 minutes to an hour, probably over Discord via video or voice call — whatever you're more comfortable with. Even beyond making content, I think hearing your story in detail would genuinely be a really enjoyable conversation for me.
This is just a personal passion project I'm doing in my spare time, nothing too fancy, but I'd love to offer a small token of appreciation for your time
If you're interested, my Discord is @aruma9. Feel free to reach out and I can share my portfolio and talk through how we'd approach everything.
Looking forward to potentially connecting!
