I do enjoy this game and would recommend it but it is important to note that what is shown in the trailers or the demo is only the first segment of a game that pays homage to several different card games over the decades. This means that everything about the game except the CCG-theme changes throughout the game; including graphics, themes, mechanics, settings, and goals. Because the marketing so heavily focuses on just the first portion of the game, many were unaware these shifts existed to the extremes that they do, and they found themselves dissatisfied by the changes.

The game itself is good, the story is an adventure, and I personally liked having to adapt to the various styles throughout the game. There's also mysteries and secrets quite literally everywhere you turn for you to figure out for either progression, helpful rewards, or simply satisfying the curious. Just be aware when you purchase the game, that you are not buying exclusively the part you see on the store page, you are buying an ever-changing mystery with multiple layers to decypher that may or may not always suit your tastes.

It seems to be a standard aggressively monetized mobile game brought to pc/steam. That doesn't mean it CAN'T be fun, but it does mean that such fun either requires payment, the patience of a saint, or a trip to the forums to attempt to find the solution that doesn't require your wallet (hint, it's normally grinding).
As for the game itself, there is relatively little guidance but it's not incredibly complicated to figure out anyway. The art kind of screams "we were totally thinking of fallout" but the actual game does not reflect that well. The survival part isn't actually that difficult either, but partly because the game does grant a lot of rewards for various things in the beginning and those rewards can include weapons you wouldn't normally be able to get early on without paying. Can't really comment on later game difficulty, I don't have that much patience but this could serve the purpose most mobile games do, a relatively entertaining way to kill an hour or two at a time (after a few hours the timers on everything slow you to a crawl so, pay or walk away for a bit).

Early Access Review
This game is still in development so there are some bugs to it, and the programming team is based in Turkey so some of the English translations are a little awkward but they are constantly working to improve basically every aspect of the game that is brought to their attention and they do so with surprising effeciency, especially for how small the team is (I believe it's only one or two people). One of the things that impressed me, besides the game itself, is how responsive the devs are, for most questions or reports submitted to the forum you will get a response from the developer in just a few hours if not nearly immediately, which is something of a rarity to me. It can take a bit of getting used to, the controls have so many options that the layout can be odd (like using caps lock to switch between equipped weapons) but this game can be downright addicting. Don't let the graphics deter you from buying the game, they may seem a bit cartoonish and clunky but this is honestly one of the better zombie survival games I have so far encountered despite it still being in early access.

I play a couple of these little clicker games on steam and out of the ones I have tried this one seems to be the most enjoyable and least greedy. You can make in game purchases to give yourself a quick boost, but it isn't required. It is still a clicker game so it comes with all the normal aspects of that like the infinite grind which isn't for everyone but it's a good way to waste a bit of time without having to invest too much actual attention, for those moments where you just need to kill like 5 minutes while you wait for something.
The main reason I am willing to recommend this one in peticular is because it is the one I have so far played that least pushes the player towards making those in game purchases. Many of these games slow the grind to a near standstill until you either pay irl cash, leave it to collect for months at a time, or manage to accumulate enough of the in game currency through other means. In most of those games the means to collect in game currency are few and far between as well as granting you very little compared to the price of literally anything in their featured shop. This one actually has relatively frequent drops making accumulating in game currency a viable option without feeling as though you NEED to purchase something in order to continue progressing at a reasonable (but admittedly slow) pace. It reminds me more of Cookie Clicker (and why that game was actually entertaining) than many of the other clicker games here.

TL;DR version: if you do like clicker games, this one is a decent one because it isn't as obviously designed solely for the purpose of raiding your wallet.

Fun little game, interesting tour of video game history if you get the slightly changed not quite copyright names. I wouldn't exactly call it incredibly accurate to game development but its a neat little sim for those of us who will never experience the actual process. Pirate mode is just asking for trouble, even getting past the first stage is an achievement (literally). You might not even have the ability to protect your games yet and end up with 80%+ of your sales being pirated, so I'd only recommend it for those familiar enough with the game to reliably create games that can sustain you despite the pirated copies.

[Original review before fully completing the game]
This is one game where I would have to say that you shouldn't let the beginning of the game detract from the entire game. Between the lack of skills at the start (which is kind of the point) to being convinced that your character is a moron, the beginning of the game was rather frustrating but if you stick around long enough that your character begins to develop himself it turns around pretty quickly. Despite the somewhat lack-luster start it is a very fun game. The graphics are good, but some mechanics could use some work. It's somewhat annoying that many of my deaths are the result of "ooor you could do that, that's fine" moments with the parkour, though it reminded me of the original AC to some degree with the finnicky parkour mechanics. The other mechanic that could be improved is the spawning mechanic, many games have a certain radius or time period in which killed enemies don't respawn near the player...in dying light however, I have had a new (often times worse) enemy spawn from the exact same location I just cleared before I can even finish looting the original corpses. One runner actually spawned inside my character as I looted the corpse of the first zombie who burst out of the shed, acting as if it had broken down the door that was already gone.
The positive to this is that it really does feel like you are trying to survive a zombie apocalypse, you can't help but to be constantly alert and aware of your surroundings unless you know for a fact you are safe which is rare outside of the actual safe zones. The last thing that I will say is that it is actually worth it to do the side quests, not only for the rewards (which honestly aren't amazing, but it's the apocalypse, outside of blueprints most people dont have a lot to give) but because pretty much anything you do helps you level up and unlock new abilities which only make the game even better. Although doing so is not actually required, just extremely helpful, the game is designed in a way that you could complete it without taking special abilities provided that you have the skill to do so.

[Post-completion review with broader understanding]
When I first got the game I would have, and did, recommend it but I honestly can't anymore. I could tell from the start that it had issues but for the most part they were tolerable...until they weren't. I'll start with the fact that the ending completely destroyed my hopes for this game to improve over playtime. You don't even get an actual final boss fight, instead you spend the majority of the final level running like the B**** you have been treated like all game (you have the ability to fight, but there is literally no point to it, enemies will just continously spawn without end, the goal is to run), only to confront the boss, Rais, not in actual combat but in a glorified cutscene with quicktime events to try and trick you into thinking you are actually doing something. The character development on Rai's is admittedly impressive, they did exceptional at making me despise my antagonist and instill a strong desire to fight him. I even went out of my way to go get his original gun solely for the poetic justice of being able to shoot him with his own gear, but doing so is never an option. I honestly have no desire to purchase "the following" or any other dlc after the way this game ends, despite the claim that the dlc expands the story even further. I honestly don't care how it expands if that is how they chose to handle the main campaign. I might be willing to give the upcoming sequel a chance but solely because the original trailer specifically addresses some of the concerns I had about this game, like the lack of choice or how little your actions actually affect.

My experiences so far:
You Died
You Died
You Died
"sweet reached a bonfire!"
You Died
You Died
You Died
You Died
"oh praise the sun another bonfire"
You Died
You Died
You Died
*you are being invaded*
You Died
"screw this" *ragequit*

and that's pretty much how it goes every time I play. Welcome to Dark Souls.

it's your standard class based shooter, like tf2 or overwatch, except there are dinosaurs and nazis. Oddly i find it much funner when I'm on the nazi team, but that's because the nazis have many more dinosaurs than the allied team and my favorite part is being a murder bird (microraptor, low health high manueverability, think scout from tf2 or tracer from overwatch, but dino version). Despite the nazis having most of the dinos the game is still fairly well balanced (though you may still get griped at for wrecking the other team with nigel, the rpg toting ally soldier who many see as unfair because rpgs obviously do far more damage than bullets do, oh and his alternate weapon is a flamethrower that roasts those murder birds alive near instantly).

I love all things fallout, and this is no exception. However, this is honestly more the time killer resource management game you play when you have nothing better to do. It is free, which means it's worth at least checking out, but I will recommend that people avoid the microtransactions. You can't really "win" the game, you just get to a point where you run out of space and things to do really, so there's no real "pay to win" tactics in it, the microtransactions just bring you to that "nothing left" end of the game where you lose interest, slightly faster. Even then they may not even do that as it isnt uncommon for your game to crash, or glitch, or otherwise lose your vault so there isnt a lot of reason to pay for bonus stuff that doesnt actually do much and may disappear with no notice and no way to recover those items. Just play and enjoy the game as is, dont waste money on it unless you truly have a strong urge to support an already massive developer

I am addicted to the fallout series as a whole, to the extent that fallout 4 is the only game i have EVER pre-ordered, so I will preface this by stating I'm probably slightly biased in the series favor. That said, New Vegas is arguably the best game so far in the series, yes including fallout 4 and it's base building. Everything just, works. It's a great mix of fps, rpg, and amazing mechanics. Sure, these mechanics may seem outdated now, but it is an old game. which brings me to the main issue I see most having with it, it's old. So old it doesn't actually play on all systems anymore, windows 10 seemingly having the most issues with it. Even though I run windows 7, even I had to alter my game files to get it to work, because it was originally designed for dual processor and you basically have to tell it that it has more brainpower now. If you don't mind somewhat self-patching the game, or if you have an older system to begin with, then this game is truly worth the investment. However, obviously if you can't get it to play there's no real point in buying it. For those who love this game but have systems that make it entirely and unpatchably broken, you will be happy to know that someone is currently trying to remake the game in the fallout 4 engine, which would make it more available to those who can't get the original working anymore.
