Early Access Review
I enjoyed Battlerite in it's lifespan. This is a bit nostalgic for me in that sense, and with that being said - Gameplay has been really fun, didn't really feel like there was anything "Broken" in terms of dueling other fighters, just stuff I didn't understand between abilities and such yet. Battle-royale style fits into it's MOBA counterpart as well, much better than I thought it would. I think this game will be even better due time. I can imagine if they decided to release this on consoles in the future that it also has a good place there. This is one of those hidden gems that you genuinely should give a chance. I wouldn't of if I didn't get an urge to look for something new, but its definitely worth a go.

I see this game getting mixed reviews and I can understand the criticism with it.

Now, a good portion of some of the negative ones came from people who adored Dungeon on the Endless which is valid. I PERSONALLY haven't played that myself, so I'm not gonna BS about stuff I clearly don't know. I watched some game play of it however and there are quite a few different things, including play-styles in comparison.

For me? I love the game. I find this a very enjoyable rogue-like and co-op game. Most things in co-op are shared progression, but some aren't such as taking weapon upgrades over or unlocking heros. However, your character chips you unlock from quests stay on and can be equipped in a multiplayer lobby. I think the games fun for what it is. The gunplay feels impactful, mowing down hordes feels nice and I do like all the characters. I do think that the characters could be adjusted a lil when it comes to the games UI. Or maybe say the abilities and passives should be portrayed better with the UI/HUD as well. Sometimes when I'm casting an ability I can't really tell, and some of the descriptions on the game could be more explanatory with how abilities work. I think they should show better/look like it has more impact.

Overall gameplay is fun and graphics/atmosphere are great. I think they should try to make it a lil more strategic when it comes to tower defense. I'm not entirely sure how, but being able to sell turrets for some of what you payed for on it would be nice. Selling weapons you don't want, or maybe certain upgrades would be a good implementation too. Also, higher rarity weapons should do a lil more than just make the overall stats stronger. Having unique traits on guns down the line at some point to spice up gameplay even more would be AWESOME! I do really want this game to succeed and get more traction because I think it deserves to. It does need work in a few areas as I mentioned, and maybe even a lil more that I haven't been personally aware of. like maybe features in Dungeon of the Endless that I don't know about could be good in here too.

Honestly, I been having a lot of fun with it and with friends. I take it for what it is, and hopefully what it can soon evolve into. Best wishes to the devs and I hope they do take the community feedback into consideration. There are quite a few good ideas out there by the players.

I'm enjoying it. I haven't had much experience with Shovel Knight games in the past, only a little bit. However, I am a sucker for Rogue-like games because I find these types of games and procedural generation the most entertaining. Although a game like Deep Rock Galactic isn't a RL game, it's always the new experiences that make me love it. When I play this, I enjoy the different levels, areas and ETC so far. It feels fun and frankly, more difficult than I thought it'd be. I think the only gripe I can label is for example:

You wait a bit too long to go farther down, giant saw comes at you trying to kill you. I had a thing happen, where I actually had to bounce on 3 different blocks to get down. Anddddd it caught up to me and killed me. Some places, the forced bouncing instead of just landing on it and digging kinda hurts (Unless there is a way for that not to happen and I didn't notice how, but I shall update this part if I'm wrong)

Other than that, this is a fun experience. I can imagine somewhere down the line if they make a proper DLC for this game, it can only get better. I think it's fun and it's definitely worth a go if you either love Shovel Knight or Rogue-Like games:)

I was duo'd with my friend and as we were banishing the spider, I thought I heard one singular foot step. I thought I was wrong because it was so faint, as I'm next to a door that swings open my direction. So i continue our convo thinking everyone is dead. Then out of nowhere, mid sentence, I see the door bash open really loud and someone was charging me with an axe. I flicked really hard and blew him back with a pump shotgun, lmaooo. Something straight out of a horror movie, my heart SANK.

My time with this game has been good fun. Typically, games like this are more around patience and sound. As someone who's played a lot of Run & Gun games, all the way down to MilSims, I really enjoy the atmosphere and audio in this game.

I'm playing this game with a failing processor, next to my strong GPU (2080ti and 3060ti i've tried it with) and due to stutters that are very apparent, seemingly from my processor now, it has been hard to really get into the game for ONLY that reason. Even then, all low setting for the moment help ease it, and even through my hardware issues, really fun to me and I encourage more people to give it a try and see for themselves how intense and great this game can be.

Can't wait to get a new processor and mobo soon to experience this to it's fullest :)

Spent a lot of time on this game so far, my GPU is dying so I honestly can't enjoy myself too much with huge stutters and issues at the moment only on my end - But I spent 80 hours on this game alone even with my GPU dying, and I plan to spend more once I get it fixed. I'm level 32, I didn't do any power leveling, I was working on trade skills early on and my main source of income is mining, so I get a lot of things for people. Super enjoyable, I get more off satisfaction off of this rather than my time with WoW for a short while, overall it's a very nice game to play. There's always something going on in the world you can join others in, like defending forts, cleaning corruption, faction/town quests and overall I plan to spend more time on it.

I Will say PvP is fun and good, but after awhile you start to notice it definitely needs more balancing. Some combinations work a little too well together with weapons. All I'm saying, is if you see a lot of Battle Axes and Hammers? Don't be surprised lol. Some server lag is noticeable, dont know if it's only my server or others. It wasn't apparent first few days of play though. And sometimes you'll come across a bug to where none of your attacks will hit the target you use your stuff on in front of you. It's not often, but I did a full spear combo behind and Elk and none of my hits registered til i stopped 1 sec from attacking, then tried it again and worked.

Wars need a bit more balancing as well. Defense feels kinda spammy with defenses, and for attackers it seems much harder than it should be to advance when there's 2 competent teams in the war.

All in all, love the game and can't wait to see what they do with it in the future (P.S. - A lot of negative reviews early on stemmed from long queue times. It is a new MMO, that was absolutely bound to happen. Companies don't always dump a ton of money into servers right away just for people to not use them. Few days later, many more were added and I'm satisfied with the one I'm in. I thought it'd be much longer to fix that issue tbh, but they got on top of servers pretty quickly. Have a lot of cool people I've met in the community so far and the game is definitely worth my time.

Super fun game, i enjoy it a lot and can see much more being created and put into this game. I haven't played an arcade racing game in awhile but like... It's f*ckin Hot Wheels so of course imma play. Lmao (I want to say I am refunding this because I think I'm having hardware failure. My 2080ti might be having a stroke so pray for me
to find a way to get it fixed or something.. lol.

However - Gameplay is fun, I did some custom time trial maps people made, the tracks already look sick and people are making good challenges to not fall off the track so easily and etc. I think they may need to fix the way the camera works a little, cause you can look forward normally, behind you and that's about it. Sometime going off jumps or getting spun out and make the camera feel off center and can feel weird.

Other than that my time with it has been fun. The nostalgia of seeing new cars unlocked feels great and overall I plan to get this game again soon, whether it be on my console for now til I get things sorted with my computer. Glad they made a cool Hot Wheels game again, but REALLY stayed true to the toy aspect and such. I love it and I hope others would take the time to experience this too or re-live their childhood

Getting my butt kicked time and time again, completing my actual first souls game (I don't wanna count souls-like such as Dead cells and all that - BUT I Almost am done with Sekiro's first play-through as well and I started that before DS3 lmao) I only have to take down The Nameless King now. 55 hours of pure torture to complete the main game, currently 78 hours and I only have one brutal boss to go.

***CHAMPION GUNDYR KILLED ME AROUND 50 TIMES TIL I LEARNED MORE FROM THE GAME - But I'll talk more about that painful experience to my therapist this weekend***

I like challenges in games, and this game gave me just that. Die and die again, but you get so frustrated you feel obligated to come back and kill the boss that has been ruining your mental for the last HOW MANY tries you already took.

All in all, I love it. Looking forward to playing through again, with this and Sekiro. Probably others as well. Elden Ring looks awesome, definitely my most anticipated game and that's around the corner!

Play this game, and just die. Time and time again. It's dope:)

I got screwed at the very last turn because my friend opened a present (Random chance to be a good or bad thing to happen) and it teleported him to the 5th chest in front of me to win.

3/10 for my bad luck

11/10 for the trash talk that took place afterwards

Early Access Review
Some dude said the mechanics were stiff somewhere in his review and that's just plain wrong lmaooo. This feels incredibly smooth with running, jumping and even have some aerial control. For game Early Access like this and a cool new concept for rogue like, this is awesome. I claimed my first temple and locked everyone else out from it today :) I'm dodging in real life sometimes it gets so intense LOL. I think this is awesome and can only get better (Note: I'm having PC issues and still tryna figure out which piece of my hardware is acting up. However, other games run a bit smoother and require more beef and my friends experienced this issue too so MESSAGE TO DEVS to let you know -----> The game is great, just needs some optimization I think. 2080ti and them phantoms are taking up a bunch of frames and the later levels it seems to do it as well. I'm not entirely sure if it's just me though to clarify.) Idk if anyone else has experienced this besides me and my friends. I like it a lot though, well done:)

11/10, would get railed by spikes again
