I have played tons of souls-like games. Its my favorite genre. With that being said, I am highly critical of them because they so often do not live up to the genre.

This game is great. It feels very bloodborne with how it controls, but with a code vein atmosphere. The combat is nice and fluid, the environments are interesting, there is plenty of weapons and loot, it is just all around a very fun souls-like that does the genre justice.

Full disclaimer, I got the deluxe edition of this game for like $5 on fanatical, but for $5 this game is actually pretty fun. I mean I would probably be happy paying $20-30 for it to be honest. $60-70 is a bit high, as the game is kind of repetitive but that is sort of to be expected with looter shooters.

Go into it expecting a dumb action game and you will have fun. Sometimes its refreshing to play a game where I can kind of just turn my brain off and enjoy it.

The gameplay is fun. However, there is not enough content here currently to justify the $30 price tag. This game feels very bare bones. Like, "lets slap together a tech demo and load it up with all the assets that unrecord showcased in their trailer" kind of bare bones.

Pick it up when there is more content, or when its on sale for less than $20.

It's the usual ubisoft vomit we have seen in Assassins creed and far cry. Loads of fetch quests and random collectibles everywhere. Tbh though, the game is actually pretty fun due to one feature, the permadeath mode. Playing on the hardest difficulty with permadeath on feels like there are actual stakes, and it makes the game much more interesting imo. It goes on sale for like $8 pretty frequently. Well worth the $8.

Its a really fun game. The best gun play and mechanics I've seen in a vr shooter yet. With that being said, there is a huge learning curve. This game is its most fun when you are playing with and against people of similar skill level. If you are in a match where the people on the other team are much more familiar with how to play, it can get frustrating very quickly.

Best VR fighting game I've played yet. The physics are wonky and I love it. Only problem is you have to put some force behind your punches or they won't register, so be careful while in your playspace lol.
