I have played this game for a while now. I have sunken more time into this game than my next 3 most played games combined by a mile. Not only is the game really fun, but I've met some of greatest people I've had the pleasure of calling my friend from this game. For how toxic certain sections of the community could be (cough cough reddit cough), this community is one of the best communities. So many friendly people and amazing content creators for DBD creators to watch, I honestly cannot think of another community that could come close to how special DBD is. Which is really upsetting, because of how BHVR decides to treat us. For a while now, we've had awful updates after awful updates. One of the worst being the Legion patch, one of the most controversial killers to ever be released, but instead of improving BHVR continues to releasing awful patches. Just recently, BHVR released back to back patches that rival the Legion patch in being arguably the worst patch that BHVR has ever released in recent years. I am not going to lie and say everything about the patches were awful, but they still push out these patches when the community have warned them that it was going to be bad well in advanced. At the end of the day, that's the biggest issue, they don't listen to us. I know for a fact that there are a lot of lovely people who work at BHVR that understood our concerns, but at the end of the day it's the higher ups that decide whether or not to release the patch. The fact that BHVR thinks they can continue to release patches in awful condition just for the sake of making money because they have no competition is honestly disgusting. They literally pushed the Twins patch when majority of the new perks didn't even work and the killer was filled with bugs just so they could release the Christmas skins on time. So as much fun as I have with the game and as much as I love the community, I cannot recommend this game. At least not now.


EDIT (2025): Hur hur hur hur hur

I do like the game, and I do think it has potential, but i wouldn't really reccomend it until it's complete, feels very bare bones for a $20 purchase.

This game got me out of my league addiction, that's good enough for me. But in all seriousness, this game has so much replay value and you can get it for only 4 dollars. Not even the 5 dollar meal from KFC has the enourmous value that this game carries at its current price, and even at its original price. 10/10, would reccomend to anyone even if you're not the biggest fan of hack and slash games.

This game touched me in a good and bad way, I can never say that about another game.
