After playing the older games (3u/4u/freedom) It's a breath of fresh air to the series. It takes the foundation of the older games and builds up on it. The maps are no longer broken up into separate sections that need their own load screen to enter. And all the weapons have been given brand new mechanics to them making them feel more diverse and deep.

However with the changes to the game over previous titles it also lacks some of the longevity that titles like 4u and the new generations u have. By that I mean the amount of monster added to the game and the addition of G-rank. In world there is only 24 (about only 21 on pc currently) in the game, and more to come. While on the 3ds title there was 70.

In the end world is a step in the right direction. However it's like your grandpa who went to walk up the stairs to go the bathroom but instead only make it 3/4 the way there and shat his pants instead. I would reccomend this game if you have never played a monster hunter game before and want to know what it's all about.

while i am giving this game a thumbs up i was not exactly pleased with the game. i will start with the pros

:pros:
LOT of potential for this game
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awsome looking ship combat
rather nice looking as well for a unity game

:cons:
pricetag of 20$
lack of a good toturial (online ones are not a good idea, you need to have some in the game itself)
not the most user friendly when starting out, and the hud is rather cluttered


overall i would recomend getting this game and let it sit on the backburner while the dev continuesly update it.

the game just feels like its been put together halfway. the movement and gunplay feel like they were made with a etch a sketch, movement feel EXTREMLY delayed (not sure if thats on my end or something else).

what i wanted going into this game- classic medal of honor feel and gameplay mixed with battlefield style maps/gamemodes.

what i got- a jenky run of the mill FPS with little to no atmosphere, with battlefield styled maps/gamemodes.

don't forget to buy our veteran rewards so you wont have to play 10 matches to get that car that may or may not get stuck on the smallest of debre

needs more john madden
10/10 ign, "needs less water"

buy this game now if you enjoy a good RTS and evaen though it it 10 years old it still holds up today
