Another Free to Play Team-Based, Battlepass-having, season-based, Unreal Engine 5 slop game. The controls and movement are stiff and awkward, so unless you want to rebind all your keys FOR EACH HERO then you're out of luck. There's only a few maps too. Got old REALLY fast. Think of any hero from any MOBA or team-arena shooter. There's probably a carbon copy of them in this game.

At least Paladins was fun. At least Rogue Company had semi-unique gunplay. This game made me WANT to play Overwatch again (I hate Overwatch).

The monetization is predatory as well. You have to buy the $20 and then $10 currency bundles to get some of the higher end skins.

"ERRRRM BUT YOU CAN WITTUWEEEE UNWOCK THE CUWWENCY IN GAME"

Yeah. Have fun with that, buddy.

Another victim of multi-year-long delays and Unreal Engine 5's innate performance problems.
Even top-of-the-line rigs will suffer running this game at medium settings.

The gunplay is stiff and will take you back to when Bethesda bragged about finally being able to lean around corners in Fallout 4. While on the topic of Gunplay, enemies simply run towards you, take cover, or throw grenades. Combine Soldiers in Half-Life 2 have more complex A.I packages than the bandits in this game. Dialogue options are almost as hollow as the game world itself, with little to do other than loot or do fetch-quests for Vladimir the town drunk.

Maybe I've been spoiled by S.T.A.L.K.E.R Gamma, but if a community mod project can produce something that looks almost as good as an Unreal Engine Game and runs infinitely better while also giving you more content, why would I spend $60 and 151gb of hard drive space?

Refunded. Going back to Monolith 64bit. Thank you.

Fun game. Has a lot of potential. There truly isn't another thing like it on steam. This game would REALLY benefit if the price was lower though.

The community for this game is something else. When times were rough, they came together to stand against a threat that Super Earth never could've predicted: Sony

I look forward to many more dives in this amazing game.

The real heist was Starbreeze waiting out refund timers through 2 hour long match queues.

Gotta say I was scared when they announced this remake. Resident Evil 4 already had an HD remaster, making me wonder if this was even necessary. I wanted to have hope that they'd capture lighting in a bottle again, but I suppose that was my mistake expecting they could.

-The new side-quest system boils down to "Shoot rats here", "shoot blue medallions here", and on very rare occasions a more spongy enemy that you kill for a bounty. There could have been more here.
-The soundtrack is inferior to the original, especially the save theme.
-The comical PDA conversations between Leon and the Antagonists have been removed. You get less overall screen time with them as a result, making Salazar and Saddler more of objectives than characters.
-Leon and Luis' dialogue until the final 30 minutes you see him is hollow and does Luis' character an injustice.
-Many iconic quotes from the original have been removed.
-Despite having more guns accessible during the first run, very few of them are worth toting around due to increased inventory demand because "Haha funny breakable knives" required because of the parry system.
-Along with the increased inventory demand, combat is uncomfortably fast-paced and bullet reliant due to the parry system. The parry system itself feels like it was added solely to make a theatrical trailer with Dr. Salvador (The Chainsaw Man).
-Certain sections of the game have been needlessly re-arranged plot-wise or painfully extended (the segment with the church and the build-up before Krauser namely).
-Certain segments of the game have been outright removed (the two optional paths when escaping the village, the fight with Salazar's giant, and the fight in the hanging crates with U-3 among others).
-Animations from the Resident Evil 2 remake are painfully present, especially in the Krauser fight (The combat animations are taken straight from the Birkin boss fight).
-Less unlockable outfits for both Ashley and Leon, instead opting to sell them to you.

Oh. Remember Mercenary mode, Operation Ada, and Separate Ways along with all the unlockable weapons you could get from those modes? Not in the game. In fact, according to data miners, they're going to sell them as DLC. So enjoy that I guess.

Buy the original. This isn't Resident Evil 4. This is a modernized imitation of Resident Evil 4, and a poor one at that.

Rogue Company doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. They simply took the wheels off other cars to make a very nice, very smooth, and charming experience. You have a battle pass that gives you enough in-game currency to buy it again, a cast of characters who all feel useful and worth investing time into, and a handful of game modes that aren't too complex to get into.

It's a nice breath of fresh air, and I can't wait to see what First Watch adds to it. It's well worth your time, even if you only play it for a few hours.

A little tragic that this game died out. I had a lot of fun with it on Xbox in its first year of release. You had to be there, it was amazing. Everyone in proximity chat was friendly, the game-play loop was great, and the progression system was satisfactory. Every update got better and better.

Well, until they decided to ditch the game under the guise of that lawsuit between the Screenwriter and the Director of the first movie. Nothing was stopping them from updating the game. They lied and diverted all resources to work on that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ asymmetrical Predator game.

To anyone considering buying this, you missed the train. This truly was the best asymmetrical horror game of all time. I pity you never got to experience it.
