I was seriously at rock bottom with new games lately. I'd boot something up, play for maybe an hour, and I'd just feel that empty grind kicking in, with absolutely zero spark of fun left. I mean, every new release I tried seemed to chase the same tired trends, no real soul, no genuine excitement. I was honestly about to shelf my motivation for good and just stick to my old favorites forever, because I had lost all hope in finding anything fresh.
Then I stumbled upon Arc Raiders. ITS A BLAST. 10/10 game.

A Woke, Soulless Mess That Proves Obsidian’s Done

Updated review

I can't even begin to express how utterly disappointed I am with The Outer Worlds 2, it's a lifeless, disgusting pile of garbage that's somehow even worse than the first game. I went into this game ,thinking it had this promise of deep RPG elements, you know? Like, it gave off that vibe of meaningful choices and immersive worlds, but nope, it was all smoke and mirrors, just shallow mechanics dressed up to look profound.

The whole game feels dead inside, no passion, no edge, just a bland, preachy mess that's so in your face with its forced inclusivity and girlboss nonsense that it made me want to hurl. Representation? Sure, I'm all for it when it's organic, but this? It's insulting, like they think I'm too dumb to notice the agenda being shoved down my throat.

Combat? Don't get me started. I felt nothing. Zero weight, no blood, no grit—just these pathetic blasters and enemies flopping over like they're taking a nap. Where's the intensity? The stakes that make you sweat? This is supposed to be an RPG, not some goofy cartoon for the fainthearted. My choices meant jack squat; everything was so fluffy and consequencefree that I was bored out of my mind within 40 minutes of playtime. The writing is also HORRIBLE.

Look, people need to wake up and realize Obsidian isn't the studio it used to be back in the Bethesda days, when they dropped Fallout: New Vegas. That was peak gaming, brutal, thoughtful, with real depth that left you thinking for days. Now? The whole place is a woke loser cult, churning out this midtier Xbox slop that's more about virtuesignaling than making games that actually matter. The visuals are so obnoxiously bright and colorful, it's like they're screaming "look how GAY we are!" while forgetting to put any soul into the damn thing.
I'm so done with this industry and its obsession with politics over fun. I want games that rattle me, that make me feel alive with their grit and complexity, not this generic, agendradriven trash that's killing everything I loved about gaming. Devs, if you're reading this, snap out of it and remember what made you great, because right now, you're just embarrassing yourselves.

So... the Battlefield 6 beta had me hyped—guns popping off quicker, buildings crumbling like they should, and it honestly seemed like DICE was patching up 2042's HORROR. Then launch hits, and... uhm, it's like..... worse? Hitreg's all over the place, everything's got this rough edge, memory leak—, VRAM spikes to 20GB out of nowhere and crashes my game. Super annoying.
The movement's killing me the most, though. Back in beta, sliding and vaulting felt smooth and zippy. Now? It's straight-up floaty, like your guy's on ice skates instead of solid ground. Jumps drag on forever, strafing turns you into a jittery mess with zero heft. It's got that hyper COD vibe, sure, but it ditched the real Battlefield weight that made fights feel epic.
And the maps? Total letdown. These launch ones are just tight urban clusters packed with way too many sightlines—every damn angle's a perfect camp spot, and half the lobby's hunkered down sniping like it's Call of Duty shipment. I'd say 60% of players are just lurking, peeking out to beam you, so matches drag into this frustrating hide-and-seek slog instead of the wild brawls I love. Chokepoints everywhere, no real openness or crazy vertical action—just the same boring streets on loop. Gets old fast.
That said, the weapons still slap, and those jet duels? Pure adrenaline. Seasons are on the way, so fingers crossed they fix this crap and turn it around. For now, it's just... eh.
5/10
Give it time for updates if you're a fanboy, otherwise maybe pass.

Dying Light 1? Absolute legend. That parkour had me hooked—leaping rooftops felt real, every zombie bash landed with this brutal crunch that got my blood pumping. Nights were pure nightmare fuel, and I'd replay it endlessly.
The Beast? Man, it's a slap in the face. Feels like a half-assed asset flip remix of Dying Light 2's leftovers, and they're charging 60€ for it? Total rip-off.
Combat's the worst—zombies react like they're made of tissue paper. Swing your weapon, and it's just a sad little float away, no weight, no gore, no thrill. Everything's so damn floaty, like the whole game's on a trampoline. Parkour? Glides instead of grips. Story with Crane? Snoozefest, all recycled crap.
If you loved the first one, skip this dumpster fire. Stick to the original and save your cash. The Beast is straight-up disgustingly bad.
