This game is relaxing......for about 5 minutes. Then my racing instinct kicks in and it becomes the most annoying game in my library. If you think you'll be the type of person to enjoy this game by relaxing, but also have a competitive racing head......buy it. Don't blame me for your broken monitor though.

Play this game to relax. Once you really nail down the techniques and you are one with the bike, its feels relaxing linking a whole track up and flowing one with your bike for countless of hotlaps. Patience heavily required to get to the relaxation part though lol

(I feel pity for the wave of negative reviews the devs got so I will rate this as a "recommended" because well........I do recommend it actually.........but there is also flaws in the game and other personal things I didn't quite like about it. I still recommend it though !)

I opened the game, played through it, and had a blast to be honest ! But.......after looking at the reviews of what other people think, it helped me wash away my thoughts which were greatly radicalised by my excitement of a new Dakar game coming out. It's not a "sim", which I expected and although I havent tried it on a wheel yet, people are telling me not to, which is quite disappointing. Another thing Im not quite happy about, but can live with, is that the game seems a bit like a Ken Block arcade-ish type of game. I know the devs are trying to reach a wider audience, but I think the vast majority of the audience who actually follows the Dakar is that of sim racers; meaning that if the game would've leaned more towards realism, it would have been..."better".

What I did like is that although the physics aren't perfect, I found them to be a much better improvement than those in Dakar 18. The camera options are also great especially for a wheel.....whenever that will work properly lol
And all the repairs and stuff is very cool too.

Another thing I dont really like, which also makes the game feel arcadey, is that the cars start the stage together rather than having to start individually with a minute game in between. I love the idea of coming across other competitors in the stage, but not start with them lol

Also, Im not too sure if the stages are the same lengths, but they certainly don't feel like it. I like endurance racing a lot and rally, so I was really looking forward to having a game which does both: long asss rallying !! Where I have to keep the focus of shredding a rally stage, for a long time. I don't know about others but I would love the feeling of being knackered after sending a 3 - 4 minimum hour long stage on the sim rig. But I can totally understand how that wouldn't reach a very big audience.........I'll just carry on dreaming for the time when I'll be able to drive the full 1000km Baja on my sim rig LOL

Other than all of this, ummmm, Im gonna keep the game, won't refund it, at the end of the day, I am a fan of the Dakar and this is the best Dakar game out there. I also trust the devs to listen to us, it would only be in their favour, right ?

GUYS THE GAME HAS A "SIM" MODE LOL AND ITS MUCH BETTER THAN WHAT I DESCRIBED IT AS. MY REVIEW WAS ONLY WRITTEN AT 1.8hrs OF GAME TIME :))))

I like it. It's relaxingly hard. Lovely game :)

I love this game a lot but damn is it hard to recommend it. After the ice wall climb near the peak of Manaslu, my mental condition just drops extremely fast. I dont know what Im supposed to do to help that. I don't think mental condition should be a thing in this game, it doesn't make much sense since everyone's mental capability is different. For example, in Euro Truck Sim 2, I turn off the sleep setting because well.......I go sleep when I need to go sleep in real life. Although Im having a hard time recommending this because of how frustating I find this mental condition setting, I will still recommend it because at the end of the day, my lack of skill and understanding of the game doesn't make it a bad game.

After 30 mins of trying to hit a rabbit with a rock, I finally hit one and as I went to pick it up my players *tripped BACKWARDS* allowing the rabbit enough time to stand up and run away

I play this and pretend it's UFC 4 hahahahahha

Memes aside, it's surprisingly fun, especially when trolling around with a friend
