Edward “Tim” Nugent April 25, 2012

Born March 7, 1957 in Glendale, California. I was raised in Hacienda Heights, CA through my 7th grade year when my father took a position as the Assistant Attorney General for the state of Oregon. We lived in Oregon from 1970 to 1973 and moved back again to Hacienda Heights in 1973, where I graduated from Glen A. Wilson High School in 1975. My father was an attorney and mother a housewife and part-time real estate agent. I have an older brother and younger sister.
After graduation, I received my A.A. in Liberal Arts from Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, CA. I went on to Humboldt State in Arcata, CA for a year and a half and then finished up my B.A. at San Diego State in 1981. I took a year and a half off from school after Mt. SAC to work full-time for the Safeway distribution center in Santa Fe Springs, CA. In 1982 I became the assistant director of the Palm Springs Youth Center and in 1984 became the executive director of the Center for five years.
I got into education in 1989 as a long term sub at Raymond Cree and never left. I have two teaching credentials- one in Multiple Subjects-K-12 and one in Physical Education. I received my Master’s Degree in Education Administration in 1997 from Azusa Pacific University.
I have been married since 1985 to Kristy and have two sons Kevin and Andy. My hobbies include family activites, hiking, travelling, all sports.
