You can beat this game in just about 5 or so hours, I would highly recommend waiting for a sale for that reason. It fun to play through the first time, it offered some tense moments that made some parts memorable.
I liked playing as Jill Valetine, she is just an over all bad ass character.

I started playing this game after I bought it on sale, I gave it a shot, It didnt pull me in so i decided to come back to it. After picking it up back up I just felt like I should play something else. I also did not get far into the story of the 8 characters. It was just not enough to draw me in. The art style and the quick turn base combat are very good. Its a slower pace game that I just couldnt get invested into it.
I don't see myself finishing this game.

The game on paper sounds and looks great. I really wanted to play through the entire thing, the turn base combat was great, the visuals were something I enjoyed.

The entire 8 hours I played, I felt so severely under level and geared. I would avoid encounters since they all in the same way of my party getting wiped. Enemies do so much damage and have so much more health then you do. You will find yourself trying to heal more than doing damage which also drags encounters out.

Actively avoiding encounters is not something fun to do, when the combat system is fun and feels very old school. I hate avoiding the fun parts, that makes the game NOT fun. I cant see myself finishing this game with this constant under-level and under gear feeling.

The game is very fun and worth your time playing. For someone who does not play real time strategies at all, this game made trying out the genre fun. The beginner difficulty is great for those who want to simply take their time playing.

TLDR: Unbalanced, not new player friendly, tremendous gear gap

If you plan to play this as a Solo player, I would advise you don't. You will constantly get thrown into games in Trios or squads since it is easier to fill games like that. They do have a Solo only mode but it is in the in the queue where the experienced and super geared players play. So as a newer player you stand no chance anyways. Do not expect to go in and wipe teams like your favorite ABI streamer does.

This game is a constant one up-hill battle and after 150 hours I started asking why I'm even playing it. You will always be several steps behind your opponent in terms of gear or numbers. The "new player" queue will have people running ALL LVL 4 gear and ammo, and of course a brand new player will get farmed. It is always said dying is part of the "learning process" which is true, when you make a play that gets you killed you will learn not to do that. However, getting killed by someone who is simply more geared teaches nothing, getting farmed teaches nothing. Getting farmed means falling into gear fear and never wanting to invest into more expensive gear since you don't to got into a raid and hand it over to the first person you come across. That right there creates a bottle neck experience. It will cause someone to avoid any and all fights and when it comes down to moments where fight is all you have, you will simply die again and get farmed. The games does reward you with, essentially gear crates, that give you the chance to run armor, guns, ammo at no cost to you. But at this point the player doesn't want to bring in this better gear since dont want to die and fund it to the next person who kills them.

Now lets say you get over that first hurdle and you have some funds to play with. Well congrats welcome to lockdown the "medium" difficulty. Here you will face all the challenges from your first hurdle expect with more juiced and experienced players. The process will repeat again. You COULD run into the solo only mode once you reach LVL 30 which isn't hard, oh but guess what? That is the Forbidden Zone the "hard" difficulty. Here is where all the well experienced, well funded players go to duke it out. In short, you will get farmed here as well.

Save yourself the trouble and play something else, it is fun to start but not fun to keep playing.

A once great and fun game now left in ruin and to collect dust.

This game is fun, story is good, the game play is great, choice making maters, overall a good experience.

It was worth playing all 3 campaigns.
For sure wait for a sale.

This game came in like a storm, died, took time to 'cook,' came back with worse practices than someone who majored in gender studies, and then died again.

You actually killed a game twice—that takes skill.

I am very new to ARPGs and POE as a whole.

This game is great for new comers, learning curve is still steep but worthwhile. If you have been thinking about getting POE2, as a new player I say get it. Its well worth your time.
