♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ how have I not written a review for this game already

This game is actually SO GOOD 😭🙏
I did not think a game could be this good until I played World, it mixes incredible storytelling with fantastic artstyle and gameplay. I literally cannot think of one bad thing about this game,
The characters are peak (mostly)
The soundtrack is PHENOMENAL
The hammer goes hammer
The monsters are all unique from one another
The game itself is just beautiful
There is not a single reason to pick up this game (and get iceborne while you're at it, youre gonna wanna play it after youre done with base world, trust me)

Figured out how to fly two different ways, dupe money, and bypass deposit limits, within 10 minutes of opening the game.

Alright im not SUPER far into the game yet, so MAYBE my review will change in the future, but we'll see.

I do not think this game deserves all of the negative reviews

I should probably start off by saying I have an absolute monster of a pc, and can actually run the game (which is what most other negative reviews are about, which I completely understand)

Wilds so far is an impeccable game, it took everything that world did great and completely built on it. For starters, the monsters themselves are incredible looking. They all have so much individual character to them, and all look completely unique from one another (mostly). While I can't say that each monster has their own unique "gimmick," I can say that they feel different enough from one another to keep fights fresh. With you sometimes needing to completely change your approach in order to slay a monster effectively. While every monster isn't ENTIRELY unique, and some fights are similar in nature, it doesnt detract from the whole experience for me.

However the true greatness of the game lies in it's story. My goodness this game has an incredible story. This game makes MHWorld look like a children's book with it's level of complexity, and character development. I can't say much here (as I don't want to spoil any elements of it), but just know that Wilds excels at storytelling.

I will say that at times the game can feel like a big long movie, with you having to sit in a cutscene without the ability to do anything. While this is kind of annoying, it's needed to develop the story, and if you don't care about that sort of thing you can always just skip it (usually).

Overall this game is a great addition to the MH franchise, and I would maybe pick it up for its $70(i think?) price tag if you REALLY want to. But I would probably wait for a sale if I were you.

I used to dislike this game, but as I played it more and more my opinion on the game began to change. Astroneer is all about building up your technology and unlocking more and more things. The core gameplay loop is finding resources, unlocking things, and building them with those resources. While that may sound boring, Astroneer somehow makes keeps it interesting. I have no idea how they do it, but the game rarely gets boring. Theres always something to do, and always something to work towards. The artstyle is also another part of the game that I really enjoyed. Theres something quite charming about the low-poly style that really fits it well. The game really has a certain charm to it that really makes it distinct.

Dredge is genuinely one of the greatest games I have ever played, and it easily reaches my top 10, maybe even top 5 games of all time. What is seemingly a chill fishing game is actually one of the most intricate and thought out stories I have ever seen. Along with some of the most stressful late-night sails you'll ever experience.

I can't say much more without spoiling the game, as I would SERIOUSLY recommend you go in blind.
Trust me, this game is worth it.

This game is incredible.

I went into this game thinking that what I saw on the trailer was simply too good to be true. The way all of the enemies reacted to the players attacks and blocks seemed too advanced to be done. Or at least too time consuming. But oh my this game delivered.

Everything is exactly as its shown in the trailer. The enemies fully react to nearly everything you do, and it adds an entire new depth of realism to the game. It really does feel like the things you do and the way you handle your weapons matter in the face of battle. It also just looks super good.

Now what really sets this game apart from the rest of the basic fighting games is the Loading Room section. This section adds a whole new dynamic to the way the game plays. Basically in this section you get to talk to your fellow "Loop runners" and build positive or negative relationships with them. The way these characters act towards you based on the way you play the game really adds to the realism of the game. I actually felt like I was building bonds with the other characters. I often times found myself pondering decisions for long periods of time. and who I wanted to build better relations with.

However with the good, there is always bad. As the game in it's current state is quite short, and quite repetitive. I'm sure this will get better in the future, but I was able to beat the entire game in just over an hour. This could just be because I have lots of experience with other melee vr fighting games like Gorn, or Blade, but I was getting through enemies and even other loop runners extremely quickly. I actually only died a 3-4 times throughout my entire run (mostly due to fire bc I didn't understand how it worked) What i'm saying is that the game is quite easy, it could just be me, but I doubt it. However as I said before I'm sure this will get better in future updates, the game is quite new after all.

Another issue of mine is the before mentioned lack of content in the game. The segments I was going through were quite repetitive, and I never really experienced anything super new. Sure the entrance to the hyperdome was neat, and some of the environments were cool (specifically the one with the trophies calling back to the origional clone drone) but that was about it. The enemies are also basically just copy pasted over and over again, with the different Marks barely changing the way they functioned. I feel like this game would benefit from a randomly generated system, where each environment was new.

All in all this game is a masterpiece, standing up to the likes of Boneworks and Half Life Alyx. While yes there are a few bad things to be rubbed out, im sure with time this will become a 10/10 game.

I would be lying if I said this game was perfect. In fact its far from it, its objectively pretty mediocre.
Rumble itself is a great concept. but there are a few big problems with the devs that hold this game back from being an A-teir experience.
I've always had problems with Buckethead (the developers) and have felt like they keep (whether intentionally or not) hurting the game. For starters, there hasn't been a combat update, ever, which isn't a terrible issue. Plenty of my favorite games receive very few, or sometimes none, updates. But its what the devs DO change thats the problem imo.
The devs will suddenly release patches every few months or so that change things that are either completely stupid, or things that nobody wants/or asked for. A good example for this is how the devs keep changing the damn rock shader every update. This would be fine but for some reason it keeps getting progressively uglier with every change 😭
Another example of this is with a change they made to parry (a move in the game). Parry was a move that was basically only known for ungrounding things (you dont need to understand what this means just stick with me here) Suddenly, out of nowhere, the devs suddenly decide to remove Parry's ability to unground things. For literally no reason afaik. The devs are terribly disconnected with their game, and the wants of the community. So much so that in my own experiences with the games programmer, I was able to bring up multiple things that they had 0 knowledge of their existence. (This is kinda difficult to explain without knowing context, but just know that I brought up some game-balance issues ((not bugs)) that they had 0 knowledge of)

TL;DR of that section: The updates are usually pointless to develop the game, and the developers themselves are very disconnected from the game,

However this doesnt exactly mean that the game is bad. Sure, the game IS bad, objectively. Its littered with a multitude of small but really annoying bugs (things like desyncs, falling through things, clipping into the walls, and a bunch of things just randomly not working)

BUT! This game has ONE saving grace, its community. If you are thinking about playing Rumble, you really should consider joining a community along side buying the game. It really does make the experience all that much better. People are super nice, and really are the keystone of this game. Without them, (and shoeless) Rumble would probably turn to dust.

Final TL;DR: Rumble is an objectively bad game imo. With no gameplay updates, ♥♥♥♥♥♥ "patches", disconnected devs, and a bunch of bugs. But its community is one of the greatest places Ive ever had the privilege of spending my time

Game: 5/10
Community: ❤️11/10
