I first discovered American Truck Simulator in January 2017, playing on a simple G29 wheel mounted to a desk. Later that same year, in September 2017, I earned my real-life CDL Class A license. This game played a meaningful role in my journey, teaching me the fundamentals of driving semi trucks and fueling my passion for the industry. Now, eight years later, I’m still playing on a full sim rig while working as a professional driver in real life. I own all the DLCs and cargo packs, and the experience continues to grow and improve. I’m especially excited for the Illinois DLC—Chicago is my hometown and where I learned to drive, making it a very personal addition to the game.

This game is going to be huge in the sim racing world when it fully releases, the 0.4 update really made me to love this game more than ever, the handling, the audio.

This game is a blast — super fun and seriously underrated. None of my friends have it yet, but they’re definitely missing out. The PvP is insanely good!

I give this right now a “7.3/10 I have a RTX4080 and Ryzen 9 5900x on 2K resolution, getting 130-140 FPS, 87-105 scoped weapons depends on part of the map, I touched when a helicopter is flying tends to drop fps but not too crazy much… I hear this game is only 20%-30% done… i expect much excited for new adventure in the jungle. Unreal Engine 5 + FPS = beautiful
