one last thing Do Not overclock . overclocking cost the game crash and try to close any background software by control panel and make sure that if you are using Screen Recording Software (OBS, Bandicam), Post-processing Software (Re-Shade) or Performance Monitoring Software (MSI Afterburner) to try and deactivate them and see if the situation will persist.

Now a lot of you might be thinking that all I did was set everything to low. The truth is there is no other option other than playing this game on the lowest settings. The game is extremely demanding and very poorly optimized. And it makes sense because this is just another port. And most of the ports don’t do well.

Even at the settings given above the game was struggling to run over 40 fps. Most of the time it was staying between 30-35. And the GTX 1050 ti is not a bad graphics card at all. And don’t even think about running this game on a GTX 1050 2GB or a GTX 750ti.

IDK, the first chapter will not crash for me, but the second chapter will. The first time I made it till getting off the taxi at the park (or the house). But now whenever I try loading the second chapter from the story board it will just crash after 10 seconds. But it will not crash if i load the first chapter

I tried the second list of suggestions cause I dont have a Nivdia graphics card and all that happened after putting my settings to what you recommended above was that my game crashed a lot sooner then the usual point it would crash at.

I had a solution that worked and didn't need me to downgrade my drivers. I simply put the game in windowed and then ran borderless gaming with it. If anyone has also tried this solution, let me know!

My problem is that I can't even start the game. I hit the play button, then the pause button is displayed followed closely by the stop button and then it immediately shows the play button again. My graphics card was a 447.14 release but I upgraded to the current release and the same thing is happening. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated. I'm 77 and where I used to be tech savvy, it's all gone beyond me now.

When I first played this (not long after release) it was running great. Now I want to replay it and it's laggy + crashes 10 minutes or so in. Might roll back drivers indeed but it's beyond rediculous that I should have to... (GTX1060 6GB here)

You expect people to downgrade their video driver? Glad I saw this post, I was looking at similar games but since the company is too lazy to update the game I will not buy any other product from them.

It's playable with a rx 580 4 gb, not the best so far though. thanks

Yes I had a problem with the game it would play great then randomly fade to a black and white picture, like a matrix game, I rolled back Nvidia recent driver and it made the game a lot more stable, and far less matrix screens.

Hey there! I was wondering since there was an update for DBH called "Shader Pre Caching Content" that seems to support Vulkan if there's any hope the game will better handle higher graphics. My computer is pretty beefy so it can definitely handle it, but it did have issues in the past running the game at high graphics levels. That being said, it crashed a couple times during my first playthrough, but I was still able to complete and fully enjoy the game with the graphics set high. May I get some info on this please? Hopefully this made sense. :)
