I've seen a lot of new players just buy so many grenades and then throw them all on site without thinking. If you're one of those players, here's a tip for you:

It's important to learn and understand what grenades do and how to use them!
And more important is: use them, and dont die with a full package of nades. That's a waste of money!



Decoy Grenade: When thrown, it's going to make a fake shooting sound for a weapon you we're holding. If you have no weapons, the sound of your default pistol will be ♥♥♥♥♥. Looks similiar to flashbang.

HE Grenade: This grenade does from 20-90 damage, based on distance you're away from it and if you have amour or not.
You can only buy 1 at time.
Maximum unarmored damage: 98 damage.
Maximum armored damage: 57 damage.

Smoke Grenade: Creates a large sphere of smoke that you can't see through.
Also creating a sound when detonated. Useful for planting (Or defusing)
A smoke can also take away a Molotov / Incendiary, for example when an enemie throws a Molotov / Incendiary at you, you throw the smoke to stop the burning.

Flashbang: Also known as flash, when explodes, it blinds a player near it and you almost can't hear. When blinded, you can't see HUD. If you turn back to it, it's not going to blind you fully.

Molotov / Incendiary grenade : Creates a large area of fire, deals a high damage if you step in the area. If it explodes midair, it won't do anything.

A lot of new players often come from other games, where the recoil is different or is not even there. If you want to hit your shots, you have to control the spray.

Here are some patterns for most used weapons:

Something I also noticed is that a lot of new players have their crosshair placed on ground or looking at sky.

NOTE: Enemy's head won't always be at the position your aiming at

Here's an example how to properly place your crosshair:

With the default crosshair it's so hard to aim. The setting are awful and while shooting it's moving so much and you're getting killed because of it.

Change your crosshair if you have the default one!


Or you can even use crosshair generator map or copy one from various of websites!

And the last one: Rushing and playing agressive. If you rush the site and going to be playing agressive, you will not help your team, but quite the contrary. Especially when you're playing as Terrorists. If you're gonna rush the site and die with bomb the enemies will have a massive advantage.

Here are some tips:
Use [SHIFT] Key --- The enemies won't hear your footsteps
Check the corners --- There might be enemy waiting for you
Use your microphone (If you have one) --- Give your team intel, like where you died from etc.
Don't be mad at your teammates --- You're going to make them leave or throw the game
