- The attacker can throw a Sonic Decoy Device that generates fake sounds – either footsteps or gunshots – to mislead enemies.
- Enemies can hear these fake sounds, creating confusion and potentially revealing their positions.
- Before deploying, the player can choose between mimicking footsteps or gunshots.

- Counterplay:
- SOLIS (Attacker): Can use her ability to see behind walls or doors while scanning and ping teammates to warn them about the fake sounds.
- ECHO (Defender): Can break the fake sound device using his Yokai drone.
- MUTE (Defender): Can stop the fake sound device using his Signal Disruptor ability.
- Defender Cameras: If the fake sound device is in front of cameras, defenders can ping to warn others.

- Counter Ability: Sonic Countermeasure
- DOKKAEBI (Attacker): Can hack or shoot the Sonic Decoy Device when nearby to disable it.
- BRAVA (Attacker): Can hack the device using her KLUDGE DRONE.
- ZERO (Attacker): Can break the device using his ARGUS LAUNCHER.
- TWITCH (Attacker): Can use her Shock Drone to break the Sonic Decoy Device.

This new operator, Sonic Mirage, introduces a dynamic element to gameplay, encouraging both attackers and defenders to think strategically about sound manipulation and counterplay.
