Places of Power are ancient runestones that grant:

Finding all of them early can give you a major edge in both combat and build customization.

Location: South of Frischlow, at the southern edge of Velen
Threats: Occasional wraiths
Hidden deep in the woods south of the haunted village. Prepare for ghosts.

Location: Near the Whispering Hillock cave
Threats: A powerful werewolf
This one’s tucked outside the cave tied to the Tree Spirit quest. Bring oil and fire.

Location: Below the cliff with the locked Lornruk tower
Jump down or swim around under the tower to find the stone glowing near the shore.

Location: In the underground chambers of the “Wandering in the Dark” quest
Only accessible during or after helping Keira Metz. Explore the left path once the fighting ends.

Location: Between Downwarren and Dragonslayer’s Grotto
Climb the rocky hill and jump near the top. Hard to spot, but rewarding.

Location: Near the summit of Bald Mountain
Access: Available during the “Bald Mountain” main quest
You can’t reach this until later in the story, but don’t forget it—Quen is worth it.

Location: North side of Temple Isle, on a cliff
From Elector’s Square, head up and left along the cliffs. It’s tucked in a corner with a great view.

Location: Southeast of Novigrad, near Alness
Look for a hill at the crossroads above the Vegelbud Residence.

Location: North of the Vegelbud Estate
At a fork in the road on a small rise—easy to miss unless you're scouting the area.
