This is totally inspired by @steve-loves-eddie's Yours for the Night.
Escort Steve AU, who's made a name for himself and became the most popular escort in the agency.
His schedule is always full and his fees are crazy high. What makes him so popular is that he's known as the only one in the agency that never actually sleeps with his clients, no matter how much money they offer.
The clients take this as a challenge. In reality, Steve just has no need for the money, so he never accepts it.
After his grandma passes, she leaves him more money than he could ever spend in one lifetime. He works in the escort agency simply because he loves meeting people and going on dates with them; he gets to make so many friends this way.
Steve's been working with the agency for a while when they inform him that one of the clients would like to meet him first before they decide if they're gonna hire him or not.
That's not exactly the agency policy and catches Steve's attention. He agrees, and goes to the café the agency tells him to so he can meet this Mr. Henderson guy.
Steve is totally not prepared for it when he finds out that Mr. Henderson is, actually, a fourteen-year-old boy. And that he brought a bunch of other kids with him to meet Steve.
"Before you freak out," the curly haired boy says, when he notices Steve's building panic. "It's not what you think. We don't wanna hire you for us, it's for a friend of ours and he's a legal adult, we swear."
Despite all the warning signs in his head, Steve sits down and lets the kids talk.
They talk about their friend, Eddie, who's the coolest person, someone all of them consider like an older brother. They tell Steve about how Eddie's been mocked all through High School, called freak because of his nerdy interests and loud personality even though he's one of the kindest people they know.
Eddie is twenty-five now, and works as a mechanic in his uncle’s garage. Every year, he turns down the invitations to his class reunions, but this year marks the five-year anniversary of his graduation
("Yeah, took him a while to graduate, but that's not important.")
so they made this plan where Eddie would finally go and show off his gorgeous boyfriend around and make everyone there jealous because the freak, apparently, managed to snatch a beauty for himself.
The only problem is that Eddie has no boyfriend to show off, and that's where Steve is needed.
"We did a lot of research and found your agency," the redhead girl, Max, says. "When we called them, they said you're their best escort. Can you help us with this?"
Steve is speechless for a moment there, then manages to say, "Does this Eddie guy even know what you are doing? And how did you even manage to make an account in the agency's website? You're fourteen!!"
"We used Dustin's dead father's ID," another kid, Lucas, explains. "And, yes, Eddie is aware of what we're doing. I mean, kinda."
"You did what?"
"Well, dad wasn't using it anymore, was he?" Dustin shrugs.
Steve is baffled, really.
"And Eddie was all in when we told him our plan," the tallest one, Mike, adds. "He kinda backed off when he saw how much it would cost, said he couldn't afford you, but until then he had agreed with us."
"Yeah, man, can't you give us a discount?" Lucas asks. "I mean, even with the six of us, we only managed to get, like, two thirds of your usual fee."
"Pretty please?" the other girl, El, says. "Eddie is an amazing person, you'll love him."
"Yes," her twin, Will, agrees. "And he deserves to get this little revenge. His bullies would have an aneurism if they saw him with someone beautiful like you."
It's the obvious love these kids have for their friend that convinces Steve. Steve's met a lot of people in all the years working this job, has found himself in a lot of different situations, but this one right here has to be the most random, most unexpected one to this day.
He loves it.
"You know what, kids," he says, after giving the matter some thought. "Keep your money, I'm gonna help your friend for free."
Steve doesn't need the money anyways.
His chair almost toppled backwards when the kids threw themselves all over him.
