she/her. early 20s. main blog. my ao3.

you need to pull the whole layer of dead skin off your lips every day in winter it’s how you grow a beautiful. New skin like a lizard no don’t look at the camera look at me. it’s called a chrysalis not a chrysalisn’t. the blood is normal

thinking about how el didn’t experience genuine kindness or decency until she was 12 years old, and when she either took her life or completely isolated herself at 16, she didn’t see it as an injustice that she only got 4 years of knowing what it is like to be cared for. she asked mike to thank everyone for being so kind to her, choked up while she said it because she is so genuinely grateful. being treated with compassion wasn’t something she saw as a fundamental human right, it was something she knew she would never have experienced at all if she stayed in that lab. that just makes me really sad.

Forever mad that the show didnt delve into Lucas' struggles as a black kid in a conservative town in the 80s, and that it didnt delve into the struggles of Lumax (an interracial couple) in a conservative town in the 80s

okay the thing is there ARE actually a fair number of movies and shows and books out there with canon queer characters and relationships, but it does drive me mildly nuts when people are like 'lolllll why are you accepting scraps when there's canon queer rep in [show with a completely different setting, genre, and tone]'. like, i'm sorry, but canon queer rep is not usually the ONLY factor people care about.

"Tattoos are becoming unpopular", "piercings are unpopular again", "keep your hair natural never dye it again, it's the trend now" literally fuck off I know what y'all are doing
