1. Dehumanizing language: language that reduces people to animals, objects, infestations, or abstract threats.

2. Bureaucratic euphemism: language that makes harmful actions sound neutral or routine.

3. Moral inversion: framing harm as protection, cruelty as care, or exclusion as virtue.

4. Legalistic depersonalization: Using laws, categories, and definitions to remove personhood without overt violence.

5. Conspiracy amplication: creates fear disproportionate to reality.

6. Crisis framing: declaring permanent emergency conditions that suspend normal ethics.

7. Responsibility diffusion: Atrocities occur without perpetrators feeling culpable.

8. Social desensitization through humor: mocking empathy as weakness.

Violence doesn’t start with fists or guns. It starts when harming others no longer feels morally unthinkable.
